For the first 3 or 4 levels I was upgrading my units without hitting "upgrade" button and was surprised that my knightys are dying left and right)))) check it out
Stuck on 4-9, with the Light Wizard. Can only control the wizard, and no special attacks, right? Its hard, think I need to grind up some cash and level something else to tier 2 -- currently only dwarves are tier 2 (pretty high in tier 2). Golems are pretty full on tier 1, and most everything else has at least hp, attack and def full up.
You have to upgrade your essence meter! Specials are key! You should probably have upgraded it twice already. His special cleans up nice. Make sure you dodge Goregon's special. (never be on the same lane unless your dishing the lightning special.). We added tips in the new version that tells you things like this.
I would too! But we have to get retina and online going first. Not to mention the little secret you find out when beating the game. Did you look at our update list? I almost put (Teh Ninja) when referring to older device improved loading. we tested it and it went down from around 30 seconds on later levels on ipod to, to 16-18 seconds. Plus there are tips to read now.
I cleared it, BUT special button didnt seem to do anything. It would light up, I would hit it, nothing would happen. I cleared it by upgrading units and getting lucky with what spawned.
Wow. I think I'm just playing this game flat out wrong. I think I've made it so I can't pass 2-1, because I decided to buy the suit of armor for my knight instead of buying another miney. Of course, then in 2-1 you don't get knights, and dwarfies cost a ton, and I can't field enough of them to make it through the level. Why give us the option of buying stuff when the game basically forces you to buy certain things to proceed? It's frustrating when the game gives you the option to do things, but then penalizes you for doing them. *sigh*
Hi, There is always strategy to beat any level needed. In 2-1 you can pass it without creating one miner, just using the 3 dwarfs that you start out with (My perfered method). You can also always go back and play a few levels to upgrade the dwarfs. We've had people beat all world 2 with only 2 miners. It's more challenging though. You will get another moonstone halfway through world 2, but I would recommend leaning how to use those dwarf bombs. Good-luck. And with the new update due any day now, The control will be much easier and you have the option of going to casual mode which makes the game even easier since units attack for you. And don't forget to upgrade that essence meter! Keep going because world 2 is really fun.
The Light Sage special does a lightning storm that clears the whole lane. The only way it wouldn't do anything because your essence meter was probably not upgraded enough. Specials are key to winning in the game and you have to have and upgraded essence meter to do some of the tier 2 and tier 3 specials. World 5 is sometimes tough. have fun.
Hi gamer313, Great post. We would love to port it to XBL once we get online going, but we are very small team right now with limited resources. You right about meta game. We wanted to include this but we simply ran out of time and needed to get the game out to see if people are interested in that level of depth. I think unit balance is really good, but we wanted to let the player choose which units to upgrade and play with. So we wanted the game to be beatable with almost any combination. But we would love to include it an update. Not sure if you guys read the control update is due with in the next few days. You can check out whats new in earlier posts or check our app description in app store. But yes group control for unit groups is in this control update and works great without being overly complex. As far as control we basically added every feature that was requested on here and in our reviews and did a play test with our beta testers (they loved it). Would love to hear them. Cool game, on 5-5 on normal and have a lot of excess moonstones will definitely unlock some of the modes. So far I think you need to improve the level where you defend in back of your castle (maybe new controls will help) and, for 4-9, make it clear that the special cannot be used if the essence meter is not big enough. Its just wrong that the button lights up when you cant actually use the special, I would never have guessed essence meter wasnt big enough. I see at least 4 other people have posted about 4-9, so its clearly a common issue. 5-1 wasnt fun either, but hopefully new controls will fix that. Other then that, all levels are intuitive and doable with some strategy. Does legendary armor cary over to hard?
Hey all your requests are in the new update - I'm really hoping it will hit today cause I don't want you guys to wait till next week. (You can read the updated description). We killed the center castle level cause u guys hated it We give tons of tips in loading screen that cover the essence meter, I agree it was a little vague. Yes Legendary Armor carries over to hard, legendary and endless modes. We designed the game that you could unlock every mode and Legendary Armor without buying moonstones if you go through all 3 difficulties. thanks for the tips.
We submitted the control update this week with tons of updates. Right now we are solely focusing on Retina so we can make it out this month. As far as more content in the future, we are working towards a new unit, tier 4 set of legendary Armor and a possible new land/arena. If you beat the game, You will get a big hint to whats coming after that.
You can purchase him, but you will get one free with the new update. Were still waiting on Apple to approve. Were hoping today so you guys don't have to wait until the end of the weekend.
But the one in 1-4 is supposed to be there without purchasing right and any level after that when we get the chance, we can buy him? We should be able to command or promote one of our regular elfy's to go up there during the level when we spawn them; they shouldn't be different. Still waiting for the exciting update though. Just like you, I'm hoping it arrives today because I really want to continue playing this game over the weekend.
The update doesn't look like its going in today :/. The good news is the sale is staying through the weekend until the update is approved. So tell your friends. #3 Strategy in US - right behind PvZ! What an honor Whoever asked about difficulty in 2-9, we decreased it a bit for the update. But My one suggestions is upgrade that essence meter. Build a strong defense, then use dwarfy bombs and unicorn specials to clear the monsters out until the vamps arrive. Meet then on with a full special meter and the rest should be not too hard. This level is supposed to be challenging but not too difficult so try a different strategy. Thanks for all the support guys and I noticed a few of you left nice reviews!
