Legend of the Skyfish is an adventure game with puzzle elements - in a hand painted style. Its got some obvious influences from Zelda but its heavily inspired by games like Gesundheit as well. Its being developed by Mgaia Studios. The main 'hook' of the game is that the main character's weapon is the fishing pole. She uses it not only like a grappling hook, but like a sword as well. She can use it to cast from small island to small island and to catch enemies and bring them to her. We are sort of in 'early' stages - I've posted a few things on twitter here and there. Let's hope this time we won't see another "I won't buy this because it's labeled Crescent Moon and Exiles is crap" train in the forums :/ The game looks reeeeally cool B)
It does have simple Zelda like combat - and you can use your fishing pole to 'haul in' enemies to smack them.
Hi guys, This is Felipe from Mgaia Studio! Some of you may also know me from my previous game, Tiny Empire. I'll be sharing some more info about Skyfish with you on this thread whenever we have some new stuff to show. At this point we actually already have a bunch of stuff already done and not shown here which I'll be gradually posting. I'd love to hear any feedback you may have! For today I have a screenshot of one of the other scenarios which we're calling the "arid seabed", a place that used to be underwater once but has been dried out and turned into an arid place with underwater flora. You can also see the player trying to fish his enemy there - but more on that soon!
Yeah, thats looks pretty. I would recommend use more colors so it will look a bit more live(or happy). Good luck with the game guys!
