Oh good idea. Thanks! Seems to be 3 extra skill points, though. ;)

Ok, some edits. Would Axe be better than Mace for my Minotaur? I chose mace mainly since that's his first weapon. But is the spear/pike considered an axe? Those seem like nice weapons.

  2. So, I'm at a point where I need to throw rocks on two separate floor buttons. But when I try to throw one, all my rocks go with it. Is there any way to separate them? Otherwise I've no idea how I'm supposed to progress.

Touch your rocks in your inventory and it will open up a separate menu that will let you separate them. :)

  4. Ah! Thank you! No idea how I missed that!

No worries! I can't remember if it was even explained in the tutorial that's available in the options menu. Either way, I just figured it out by tapping on it. LOL! In iOS games, when in doubt, tap it out! :D

I'm enjoying this more on my iPad mini than on my PC.

  7. Ha, I ignored the writing on the wall (or maybe I didn't -- depends how you look at it...) and got killed. Having fun, though. :)

(Still no idea why YouTube messes up the sound on my Air 2 videos. It sounded perfect before I uploaded. :(

I recommend giving your Mage a spear so they can attack from the back row. :) I always keep one equipped on mine right now beause I haven't leared any offensive spells yet. Also, don't forget to attack and move. That grave room is a terrible setup to be sure. I got my bit kicked in there as well. However, anytime you have the space around an enemy, try to attack them from their side or back. That will give you a great advantage. :D

  9. But then who will hold the torch? :p Is there some secret way to use a torch and a weapon that I don't know about?

Is it possible to kill all those guards in there, or do they just keep coming? I thought (in hindsight) that maybe if I stood on the switch and then backed off (instead of throwing the rock), I might only get one guard at a time. But not sure if that would work or if it's even worth bothering.

You can equip the torch to the second hand of anyone.
Also mages get "wands"(?) which enhance their skills. I think if you want to use that then it needs to be in the primary hand (?) so spear may not always be viable. That is, once you have offensive scrolls.

A good way of dealing with that grave area and and place in fact which is open like that and you get ambushed is to try and work your way into any single standing space you can. So you can then face those guys one by one rather than potentially from all sides. It that video you were ina. Corner which is pretty good, but getting into a hallway or even one of their own little cellars and facing back at them from there will make it easier to kill them one by one.

Omg I had no idea! Been wasting a hand on that since the very beginning lol. Thank you!

I do have a wand, which I equipped before I realized I had no one to hold the torch. But I don't have the skills yet to cast any of the spells I found. I invested in air, and I only have fire and earth spells (I hope I didn't miss the air spell!).

Once I have enough in Assassination, will the dagger in the Rogue's second hand automatically fill in when I run out of throwing knives?

Edit: Btw, that sound the slugs make? It sounds like someone chewing their food really loudly lol. Makes me cringe. Seriously good job on the sound effects in this game.

Yup, just put a torch in your secondary hand. :) Almost Human pretty much made the secondary hand a wasted slot in the iOS version (at least for melee attacks). Once you've got 3 points into Spellcraft, you can just start casting the light spell. Just draw from the middle rune to the top rune, and cast the spell. It lasts for a long while, but I'd still keep a couple of torches around just in case, though.

As for the guards, there's only 3 in that room, but there's levers you need to operate in order to progress, so you'll have to face them eventually.

  14. So does the right hand not work in battle? How do you get the rogue to switch to dagger after he runs out of throwing knives?

Ah ok only 3 guards. That's good to know. Would my plan of trapping one in there with me at a time work? (I've always tried to play these types of games safe. In M&M, I would back away and shoot arrows, picking enemies off before they could catch up to me lol.)

The second hand only automatically switches when you're using thrown weapons. I've asked the developer many times if they could include melee weapons (using this same method), but they've never said anything about it being a possibility; which is unfortunate. :( If you want to switch to a dagger, you'll need to do it manually. I'm hoping that if enough people ask them about the secondary hand, they'll eventually correct this with a furture update.

To deal with the guards, I'd recommend doing what Talbs suggested by getting into one of their alcoves. That way you can take them on only from one side. :)

  16. Oh, that sucks. The throwing knives in one hand and dagger in the other seem like they'd be such a great combo.

So if you wield two swords, would they at least both do damage?

Will attempt to get rid of those guards tomorrow. Too tired to deal with them at the moment. :p

Yeah, I totally agree! Unfortunately, though, holding two melee weapons does absolutely nothing other than take up a hand slot. Please contact the developer and tell them you'd like to see this corrected too. The more they hear about it from their user base, the better chances we'll see it get changed. :) They are good with responding to private messages on TA as well.

  18. How does it work on the PC version? I mean, we're not asking for extra controls -- just something automated. So I'm wondering why they wouldn't add that.

I guess my fighters will hold onto their shields, then! Are there any two-handed weapons even?

Well, in the PC version both hands are shown. However, after researching the PC version again, I found an article saying that dual weilding melee weapons wasn't an option in that version either.

    Here's the link:
    http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/62938/does-dual-wielding-have-any-effect

Apparently, both hands would grey out for a cool down period whenever the primary hand attacked, so I guess it's just something that was carried directly over from the PC version. It still doesn't make any sense not to have as an option if you ask me. Eye of the Beholder allowed you to use both hands for weapons, and that game is WAY older and less advanced than LoG. :)

Oh, the control on iPad is much better now so I can beat that "rhythm mini-game" -- catching all the magic shots before reaching the mouths, is like a snap now.

And I guess everybody knows that by now that if you find that magic book, you need to "eat it"...

Anybody tried all fighter+archer/all mage team. Sound like a challenge.

P.S. Any news that LoG2 is in works for iOS?
