People gobble down synthetic drugs with a list of known side effects and eat artificial food stuffs containing shit the human body can't break down and you're scared of a drug that's been used since the dawn of man for medicinal purposes.
I want to add some things 1.If you're going to try weed for the first time don't do it until you've turned 20. Teenagers tend to exhibit poor judgement and adding any type of altered state on top of that tends to make it poorer. 2.The first time you smoke take two hits and stop. Most people try weed for their first time at parties and see people sucking back entire joints without realizing your tolerance increases over time and with prolonged use. If you over smoke you WILL have a horrible experience. 3.Be smart about it, don't smoke and go anywhere the first dozen or so times and DON'T SMOKE IN PUBLIC OR IN A CAR! DON'T DRIVE! 4.Once you're ready to venture out into the world stoned always have a plan. Don't head off to Wendys without knowing exactly what you're going to order because you'll stare at the menu forever and not figure out what to order. Remember, just because your high in public doesn't give you the right to be a confused stoner stereotype. Don't be that guy.
There are actually many ways of consuming marijuana that don't involve smoking - for example : eating or vaporizing. i just think that it's people's choice to do it or not. If there was decriminalization, like there is in Portugal, there would be MUCH for information available to people so that they could make informed decisions, instead of having to be exposed to it through parties where they don't know what's going on. In theory, based on the REAL experience of Portugal that decriminalized everything, you would be for the decriminalization of marijuana if you wanted to see it used less, as there is a lower rate of use in Portugal directly related to the fact that they decriminalized. Because education is readily available for people, less people try drugs because they understood the consequences. The rest of the world could learn a lot from that. Making something illegal doesn't stop it from being used, and in fact, the US, where the "war on drugs" is most prevelant, has one of the highest user/abuser rates in the world. What does that say about illegalization? does it work? Use your head.
But they're nothing like them. Tobacco can give you cancer, marijuana won't. Alcohol can make you unable to control your actions, marijuana won't.
i have to commend the topic starter for making a thread that is continously discussed apparently marijuana is very poopular
I was just saying that I don't think the groups are similiar. In my opinion, even though marijuana makes you stupider, it seems like the people who do it are much more educated than cigarette smokers.
Marijuana can cause minor short term memory problems with heavy use but it doesn't kill off brain cells like alcohol abuse.
Crap! I don't want marijuana to be legalized, mainly because I don't want to be living by a marijuana store.
Think of it like a bar that.. 1. Generates more money for the local economy in taxes 2. Is open during normal business hours instead of until 2AM 3. Doesn't have belligerent drunks pouring out of it all hours of the day and night I'll also note that most states where medical marijuana is legal don't have dispensaries and require people to grow their own or have it delivered.
