It has nothing to do with sources of information; when you think about it, it makes sense. Its been proven the weed can be used to replace pharmaceuticals to relieve pain, sleeping disorders, etc. Do you really think the pharmaceutical companies want that? They'd lose millions. Also, alcohol & tobacco would lose out on money because, well personally, I'd rather smoke a few blunts and chill rather than get wasted. If weed was legal, more people would smoke and less money would be funneling into the alcohol companies pockets. Same goes for tobacco companies as well, simply less money going to them. In the end, as everything else in life, it always comes back to the $$$
many things make sense, but require backing info to make it a fact But... Fine, What if pot was legalized for therapeutic reasons ONLY? would that make 60.20% of voters(121) happy?
Eh who knows, I can't speak for them. I myself am unsure if I want it legalized, if it was, then it'd just get taxed..I hate taxes.
Man, I leave this thread for two whole days because of how much everybody loves to talk trash, and come back to see this randomness. Why did I come back again? And BTW Midian, you said about the price of the pot in stores if it were legal, but bottled water is much more expensive in stores than out your kitchen sink, yet people still buy it. And if you're on the road a lot, don't wanna get caught growing it at home, go to the store a lot, etc. Plus, yeah if tobacco companies could sell pot you don't know what they would do to it that would make people want to buy their's more than others.
Yeah, they'd try their best, but more people use tap water than bottled (assuming they live in an area with clean tap water). A few people would buy it because it's quick and easy, but you'd probably never be too far from someone with a shed full of plant pots.
