Looks like items can also be gemmed for even more customization. And there's costumes. Just started playing Mage, it's super fun. Have to stay really mobile and dodge often to keep distance. Forgot to mention the coolest part and what makes this game unique- PERMADEATH yes when your heroes die, they are gone. But that's where the LEGACY system comes in. Really well done and I'll leave you to find out more on your own
[DEV] Really appreciate all the kind words and constructive feedback all! Thanks so much and we have a TON of updates coming in the next few months.
So to repeate a question I saw earlier, what's the pay model like? I don mind f2p games and enjoy a lot of ARPGs that are but just wondering if it's similar to others and how umber some it is etc. and what the premium currency I am assuming it has can be used for. Also, hats the perma death like? Or the legacy feature? I generally like character development in games so if there is permadeath that is mandatory with no off option I generally only enjoy it when implemented in certain ways. Love the art style tho!
Been playing it for about 30 mins. There is an energy system (torches). Seems entering a dungeon uses 1-3 torches. (I have 11 right now). Replenishes in about 8 minutes from what I can tell. The in game shop has one premium currency (skulls). You can buy them in the usual price points ($1.99 - $99.99) with a starter pack bundling a few extras. From what I can see thus far, no way to pay to increase the energy timer limit, only able to use skulls to replenish quicker.
I gave this one a spin, and I have to say I'm enjoying it more that I expected too (I think I'm getting burning out on these). Let's see if it stays interesting. I really like the art work, its much better than the usual 3D stuff.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Played it a couple of months ago during the Open Beta and the new Builds feels alot more smoother and not so rough around the edges like the first Build did. What I also notice is that the Levels seem to be much bigger then the old once during the Open Beta and that does it therefore sometimes feel more like an Mobile Diablo Light then what Legacy Quest felt at the first time I had played it. I`ll keep it for some Weeks on my iDevice and see how the Game does open up and if those Timers that are in the Game are becoming later an issue if it comes to the overall Gameplay flow but so far I can only tell that I like what I have seen so far of the Game.
Thanks for the input!!! Anything on the legacy/ permadeath system yet? I know I am asking a lot for a free game but my HD real estate is hard up right now, so I can only do so much.
From what I can gather, if one of your hero dies you can recruit a new one for free, but I suspect they will be level 1. Haven't tried this out yet so perhaps others can comment. I'm loving my battle Mage. Anyone trying the rogue build?
The character introduction says you can revive fallen heroes with souls, but I don't know how or how much.
I think the "descendants" of the fallen hero get some of their stats and stuff, but I still haven't died so I'm not sure.
Are there plans to support MFI controllers? Don't get me wrong, the touch controls are spot on, I just want to use my new controller.
Yeah, you are correct. My nimbus didn't work on the menus so I just assumed the game didn't support it. I haven't had a controller for awhile and didn't really use my Moga very much so I forgot some games don't have menu support. Thanks man.
This is a really solid ARPG. Great loot crawler and the dungeons are just long enough not to feel too short. The print is a little hard to read on an IPhone 6, but that's my only real complaint so far.
Anyone else see that there is a restore purchase button? The only IAP I see are consumable. So are your skull purchases restorable if you loss you progress or is there something I'm not seeing?
Try reading it on an iPhone 5 screen heheheh. Although I'm using an iPod 6th Gen it's unfortunately still the same size as the 5th's screen. I guess I can tolerate it tho since I'm enjoying the game itself immensely so far.
