Wasn't there an app that came out that would send a voicemail for a contact of your's without their phone actually ringing? I've searched the forums and the app store for any words I could think of to connect it with but I can't find it. Any help? :)

There's a way you can do this from any phone (or used to be able to, not sure if it still works) where you dialed up the phone number of the cellular carrier's voicemail box. From there, it would prompt you to enter a voicemail box number, you typed a phone number, got their greeting, and could leave a message.

Last time I did this was when Pre-Cingular AT&T was still Cellular One... So not sure if it works at all anymore.

I had this too. It had a blue circle icon. But I don't remember the name of it. And I think I deleted it because it didn't work 100%

    SlyDial still rings once. GG

If you're going to leave them a voicemail why don't you just let them answer their phone? lol If someone did that to me I would just block their number for being an ass.

Thanks guys! I'll check it out!

And the reason I just want to leave a message is because it's someone I need to check in with but don't really want to talk to. Then it will be up to them if they want to call me back :)

To the more helpful people who responded, is the app even worth it?

edit: I checked it out on iTunes and it looks like they charge for every use now. I think I'll pass it up now, let more time pass and actually make the call :) Thank you for the helpful answers though!
