Hi Guys! UPDATE #6: UPDATE #5: -- UPDATE 4: Started the official Leashed Soul - Beydo's Adventure Website and Facebook site! Stay tuned and follow us to get more information about the release! Do not miss it! UPDATE 3: UPDATE 2(trees are growing!!): UPDATE: https://youtu.be/te305moM5OM Just started to work on a project, it's called Leashed Soul. It is about a little marionette character. It will be a logical game. There will be blocks with collectable items, and you have to collect all of the items with going through every single field. You can not step on a field multiple times, only once. You have to pick up the last item with the last movement available as well. We will try to rock all the animations possible, from animating fields invidually, the character animation/phisycs will be almost exactly like real majorette characters. Some field animation prototype: http://gph.is/1ZEc9rG http://gph.is/1ZEcbzO A very first footage of the map prototype(please check it out full screen): Also very first prototype of the character: For now, 50 level design with unique logical tasks planned. I hope you are interested, and will follow up on this thread, as i would like to ask interested players for beta testing and for discussion about the game! As i've got more material of the game i'll post it here. Thanks in advance! Please let me know your thoughts.
Game Art Style I forgot to mention, that this game will be designed in a diorama style, and the game's category is a logical puzzle. Please drop some words about what you think, or what's missing from the post you are interested in?
I see someone voted for there is no enough details about the game, would you or anyone please ask for some details? I would be more than happy to answer any questions and expand the original game description. Thanks guys!
Looks very nice, I would love to know how it plays though. Seems similar to Mekorama which was a great game, so high hopes for this!
Interested idea, keep us posted from time to time and gameplay video would be great when it is ready.
In couple of words: To play there is the green grassy blocks. And for example there is a key on the middle of the field. As soon as you move the last block you've been standing on will fall down. You have to make all blocks fall down, and as the last step move to the key block. So you removed all the grassy block and the last move is to get the key. This puzzle will be a lot harder as we will use some items to make your decision getting harder. Not only 9 grassy block grid will be, tha latest maps will have about 9x9 blocks. In a couple of days or so i will post screenshots and maybe some pieces of the real gameplay. Thanks for the feedback guys!
Youtube video Before prototype footage video. Just captured, please let me know what you think about it! Please watch it at 1080p, and possibly fullscreen. https://youtu.be/te305moM5OM Thanks in advance!
After watch the video, Just .... WOW! beautiful graphic, great animations, and shadow too! Great work!
I have got feedbacks about the graphics, physics, anims, shadows. But what about the game logic? Any ideas or questions?
A new update received. started to build up the storyboard, growing trees are included in it Not finished yet, but still growing trees!!
Graphics are good animations are good, texture on 3D models looks good. Love physics... the problem is in Two big objects Balloon and Fan which are not strongly connecting to your game, there is no strong purpose to put big objects bigger then the game board itself, which is messing simplicity and hierarchy of game, its like forced, i think it would be much better if you keep your objects minimal with strong purpose and connection with your game.
The main reason for the big objects was using it in the game logic. See below. I understand you, and you are right. Watching the game demo footage below, is there any suggestion how we should replace these big items?
be as innovative as much you can, if its a board game with moving blocks and moving buttons .. simply just keep yourself there and make puzzle out of that.
