I just wanted to share with you guys about an app I made to help beginners to learn Japanese. I hope you guys find it useful. it is called AIUEO. AIUEO is a discovery based learning system for the iPhone and iPod. Unlock your natural ability to learn. Easy to understand for any age. Touch any character for clear pronunciation. Color coded system enhances quick intuitive learning. Fun memory games to develop your ability. I started learning Japanese 25 years ago, and my idea was to make a tool that i wish I had when I was first starting. you can get the apps here on iTunes.. I hope those of you who get this benefit from the work I put into making them. I really wish I had these apps when I first started learning Japanese. Have fun.

sorry but since hiragana and katakana a pronounced the same way exactly, splitting it into 2 apps $5 each is questionable at best, close to the point of calling it a ripp off. e.g. Japanese Coach App has everything you offer plus the a full beginner training course with full audio support for the same price. Or Japanese Audio Flashcards for $12 full blown Japanse Audio supported learning Or Genki 1 Japanese Vocabulary Builder with audio support $14 Or Decent Japanese travelling Cummunicator, just $3 while the idea is nice and usefull you can get this info for free everywhere. $2 for both of them would be ok for the memory game it is. this is not rant. I am just giving you a perspective of your competition. (essentially we are in the same boat, you see) best
Thanks for the feedback. I'd have to just say, the apps I made are very good, clean interface, easy to use and understand, professional voice recordings. Obviously, we can throw the kitchen sink at an app. My approach is to do 1 thing and do it very well. While value is a subjective thing, $5 for learning to read a difficult alphabet, is a great value. I am not concerned with the "competition", I am simply trying to make the best app I can make. As I said, I made the app that I myself wish I had after 25 years of learning the language. If people like it, they will buy it. Thanks for the ideas. I appreciate you taking the time.
