If you jump above the cup at the end of the level and take a photo, the lighting is shown as if you hit the cup. It is also possible to jump high enough to see the bounds of this Sprite as demonstrated in the attached image.
Wow didn't think about the Sprite not being long enough! I thought I'd made it way taller than I needed! We know about the other big showing two characters at the end. It's just a clash between the in game share option and the end game share option. It will be fixed soon enough. Also check out my screen from yesterday. New background I started working on....very work in progress so it's all subject to change or even be scrapped.
I probably will do an snow ice background at some point but I'm trying to not just tap all the obvious ones and mix in some that are a bit fresher. My hope for the next update is to have 4 new backgrounds because that would meant there were two weeks worth before it looped. We'll see how that goes....it might be cut to three. We also have Dave making 3 new tracks to add into the mix for the next update. They are already sounding soooo good! Finally we are adding over 300 new level chunks in the next update which will take the total past 1000! It should freshen things up a bit. The programmers are mostly busy figuring out how we add this without breaking the algorithm that generates the current days....very risky stuff so they are being careful (slow). Once that is out of the way we will be able to add all sorts of new stuff to the core game though so it will be worth it.
Holy crap. This developer is adding so much content that it's making this game one of my favorites. To be honest when it launched I played and deleted after a couple days. After these updates it's been a permanent fixture on my first game page for being one of most played. Developers like this need some Kind of awards.
This game makes me cuss like I am a kid playing Mario on my SNES again. Haven't had this much fun or frustration since. This my hands down favorite iOS game right now. And hats off to those that can get all the fruit lol
New confirmation.You need to be playing the current day to get any unlocks. I unlocked Lick and the selfie shot, but missed yesterday's level by a few minutes. When I beat it, today's level had just been unlocked, so I received no progress towards my next gift. I thought all levels after the update would award gift progress. This seems to not be the case. Gift progress is only received by playing the current level on the same day it's unlocked. Can't say I'm a fan of that method, sorry.
I'm okay with that. But that's probably because I've 100%'ed every day this month on release day so far XD
Correct Cups are only awarded for the current day. We debated how to handle unlocks in the office and quickly realised that it would be both hard to do retrospectively and counter productive. Given that the lions share of users had been playing since the first week a lot of the content would have already been unlocked which is a bit of a waste of dev time and we felt would lessen the excitement of what was coming. we considered a start date for them to exist but it seemed hard to convey. Only getting them on the current day wasn't great for that either but it was at least a little cleaner. It also encourages people to play every day which was the concept for the project from the beginning...to make a game that people would want to play every day. Anyway right or wrong that was our logic in case anyone was interested is why we made it that way
Massive fan of the game here, so much so that I've been changing the clock on my iPhone to get access to more than one level a day! I finally managed to reach the end of level 43 and encountered a crash. After progressing past 7 cups on level 43, the game will crash every time. The final photo pose has been unlocked but it still says level 43 with 7 cups and I can't obtain any more cups on the 'current' day without the game crashing. Obviously to reach this point, I have played the game rather a lot and noticed plenty of other bugs as well. One of the biggest is the spawning of the little blue bug creatures that come in threes and the large square spiked creatures which rotate every few seconds. If you reach a level segment with these enemies without unlocking the checkpoint immediately beforehand, they can spawn irregularly. In one level segment especially with three large spiked squares on platforms on top of each other, two of these squares can spawn on the same platform. Another one is when jumping on either the large rolling enemies or the flying purple enemies which fly towards you, you can unexpectedly rebound in the direction opposite to which you jumped. Finally, another is that some situations cause you to jump vertically upward unexpectedly instead of in the direction you are running. This can happen a lot when jumping onto the side of the conveyor belt blocks. There are a few more I can think of with specific level blocks, but they're mostly pretty minor. Regardless, it's a very well made game and another nitrome classic. I've definitely enjoyed the progression system but wonder what else could be added to make it last longer. Aside from extra characters or poses, maybe some sort of prestige system or character recolours? P.S. Would anyone be interested in seeing the characters or poses you can unlock? P.P.S. pls make more rust bucket levels
Seriously, this game is effing amazing. I haven't playing since before the update. I just sat down with it and worked on today's level. I love the changes. I'm going to try to unlock some stuff. This is by far the best game Nitrome has made and and only $4 it's an absolute steal. I can't wait for the next update! Ok time to go back and finish today's level and start unlocking stuff. @JammyLong Wow 3 months worth of cups! That's a lot of commitment and I'm thrilled someone is so into our game! That said its possibly another call to stop people from skipping ahead with some checks. We have been reluctant to require an Internet connection to play so that ruled out an obvious way to do it but there are some idea on how we can prevent it without one. Please don't spoil the unlocks....it's fun for people to find them out on their own. We really don't want people getting ahead anyway as the next update will cause a parallel universe of levels that will be different to the ones you played and throw those ones away. That's probably not a bad thing for you though
