So I went ahead and paid for the unlock.. Dang, why did I torture myself with the ads so long.. lol.. Great game, and one that I really love playing right now.. Thanks for the awesome game, guys!

So, is there any way to spend my fruit now? Or do I just collect it and see how much I can accumulate for fun.

 

This has been the easiest one I think. I don't play everyday but I beat it within 15 minutes.
On a side note I get stuck on the easiest levels and dominate the most difficult levels sometimes and it's really frustrating

 

Game Center Bug

Nitrome, somehow I have 'Get all fruit for a week' but not 'Get Gold Cups for a week'. Don't think that's really possible. I have every level gold and all fruit through today and have beaten each level on its actual date for at least 10-12 days. Also I can only get to game center through the GC App, the button inside the game doesn't do anything. I have all the other achievements available except for the month-long ones since it hasn't been a month yet.

hey guys! Here's my story.

I love this game, it became my obsession since the release and everyday I play until I have my fruit cup. I like it so much that I payed the first day to support the developers, but quickly I realized about the terrible "checkpoints" design mistake and I felt disappointed to see that I couldn't anymore obtain the checkpoint achievements, making the game I just payed too easy for me. It was like a punishment for paying and the feeling wasn't good. After this I decided to uninstall the app, lose all my progress and keep it as a free to play game meanwhile I waited patiently for the update to fix it.

Finally today the expected update arrived, so I quickly went to the "restore purchases" button and it BREAKS the app. So now what? I feel tired of have payed money and to have to keep watching adds. And no, I'm not gonna uninstall the app again because I have all my days completed and even the Checkpoint Charlie achievement.

The game is great, but Nitrome should be more careful with this.

PD: the restore purchases button breaks in iPhone and iPad.

 

Yes, it does crash on 'restore' now.. iPad mini2 latest OS... and there is no way to disable free chest unlocks in the 'settings' as described in this update feature list...

 

This update feels sloppy. I'm playing this on an iPad mini and the sharing screenshot is not cropped properly. Also, no toggle for auto-checkpoint in the options screen (or is it hidden?)

 

Yep, i have to agree.. Even the first (new) intro splash screen is a bit, hmm, clumsy looking. It didn't exist before this update.

Also is it my imagination, or has the color contrast (and maybe resolution) changed? The colors look darker now (especially around the edges with black outlines), and the pixels look a bit forced around the edges.. Not quite as pleasing to the eye.

I'm not sure how it got into the live build or why it suddenly broke but the restore purchases button does appear to be broken and crashing the app. We are sorry about this and we do our best to fix this quickly. We are close to the characters update being finished so hopefully we can push it into that update before we submit it early next week.

I also hear a few people say the auto checkpoints button is not showing. That's even stranger as it works fine for me in the last test build which is the same as the release build. We will have to figure out what is going on there.

@JohnnyClash. What new intro splash screen? We did not add anything like that so I'm unsure what you mean? The colour contrast and resolution have not been altered.

Screen grab crops we will look into. It looked fine in our tests and the ones we are seeing people share seem to look fine. But we don't have an iPad mini in the office so it could be wrong.

We're disappointed that bugs have appeared in this build as we tested it a lot.....there were a lot of things we found and fixed that delayed the release a whole week in fact! We are a small indie team and this is a particularly ambisious project for us so I guess bugs are inevitable. We will do our best to fix things that come up as soon as we can.

The first proper content update is going well. There are 10 characters and a total of 43 things (there is a smaller element to this update that we wanted to keep a surprise) to unlock in the update as reward for collecting trophies.

We are also starting to work on the update that follows that which so far will have new level chunks and at least one (as its drawn)but probably 3-4 new backgrounds!

Thanks for the feedback.. I am pretty excited about the upcoming update! To put it another way, this is the first FTP game that I have purchased a full unlock for, ever - that I can recall..

As far as the splash screen and resolution, if you didn't change anything, than it's possible I am just being hyper sensitive from experiencing the other known bugs..

Lastly, I still love the game and plan to keep playing daily..

 

I played the game for like a minute before paying the premium unlock. I do like the change back to the side room to unlock the checkpoints. I have the fruit cups for most of the levels, but still haven't been able to do a perfect, no death no checkpoint run. I've gotten past the bronze cup before dying so far. So, I'm not missing the on/off toggle not showing up.
I didn't think Nitrome changed anything related to the resolution or graphics. I thought it was silly that someone was complaining about it.
I can't wait until we get the new characters update!!! Thanks

 

iPhone 6 - update broke the purchase. Can't restore purchase. Have to watch ads now!!! Please fix in the next update!!
