On the issue of controls, while they're near perfect and very responsive, I don't see why they can't respond to input in the space above them all the way to the top of the screen. Most players won't notice it and there won't be anything visible there to obscure gameplay, but when I'm playing this (and other games with similar controls) my thumbs always drift up slightly and I end up above the buttons and nothing happens. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like a no-brainer since there can only be benefit.
I think I have this problem too, although I can compensate, so another vote for something like this being added! I'm not sure it has to be all the way up to the top of the screen, but higher would definitely be better I think.
I actually found that annoying as hell on Battlefield Bad Company. And since they are only marked at the bottom, you could tap on the wrong spot and go the wrong way or stay put, and your thumbs will be covering your character.
LOL, sounds like all you guys have weird game issues. I played the whole game and that never happened to me. Probably has more to do with finger size than controls. They were perfect for me.
My point is that it wouldn't change the game at all. You wouldn't normally tap anywhere above the controls so there's going to be no issue with going the wrong way or covering your character. I'm not suggesting that people play with their fingers half way up the screen. It just means that for people like me that occasionally miss the buttons by touching the screen slightly too high, I'll still get the response that I was intending to get because there'll still be a button there (albeit invisibly.) It won't change the game whatsoever for people that are okay with the buttons how they are, but it'll make it twice as playable for people like me.
Awesome game! One thing to add. I can understand why there are not leaderboards on each level. A twelve second level would have 5000 people between 10 and 12 seconds. What I would like to add is where I can look back and see my best time. Thats all. Having so much fun with this.
Yeah its a great game, I do hope they release more levels though, and perhaps some longer ones possibly with checkpoints (checkpoints would be an option that you can turn on or off, leaving them off would create much more of a challenge and add to the playtime).
How bout they make it down to te hunderedth second? In the 100m dash everyone finishes within .5 seconds of eachother!
You must be out of your mind if you think everyone likes pixelated graphics of the 80s. I think this game is completely ruined by the graphics, but some people just has a liking to this kind of old stuff, to each his own.
How do the GRAPHICS ruin the simplistic GAMEPLAY? You don't like pixel art that's cool. Opinion opinion. But how does it affect the way the game plays?
Lovin' on this game. It's got that real "just gotta shave 2 more seconds off my time" kind of feel, couple with some pretty insane difficulty. (and yes, I like the pixel art and chiptune style) oh, and controls are perfect.
It's the kind of game that you know will go free at some point, but they still got my 59p. I hope they're figuring out how to incorporate leadeboards. One small bug I noticed is that if you have your screen rotated the right way around (earphone wire over my right hand rather than jammed in my left palm) on an iPhone, achievements pop up upside down.
League of Evil haven't stopped playing this since I bought it. A few suggestions to the developer: -GC leaderboards!!! (and 6 achievements? I'm not an achievement addict, but that is still quite stingy) -how cool would it be to have a multiplayer where two people raced to finish the level? would be really unique to the genre. -more level themes (because I just can't get enough!!) and finally, if leaderboards are included, the timer should be able to go down to the tenth or hundredth of a second, because people are going to compete for that #1 spot. Great game, look forward to updates and more releases!!!
Great Game Indeed. My only complain is that I will like to see bigger and centered buttons for - Replay Levels - Try Again - Main Menu And some cutscenes too. Oh, and there is a little bug in the music loop, the game stops for a nanosecond whent the music stops. Again, Great game and great fun at and incredible price.
Got it! Great game & controls! A ghost to compete against your best time would be nice. Retina would always be nice too Very nice little platformer...get it now! Nice job guys
