Thank you thank you! I just played this on my iPad using the Joypad app and it's even better! But I definitely don't want to start over from scratch, as I spent a lot of time getting 3 stars and briefcases on every level (except the Impossible missions... yeesh!). Amazing update, can't wait for syncing!
So I guess no one else is finding the game completely unplayable on their iPad 2? When i try to play it on mine, when I jump and try to move left or right in the air, I only move a short distance and then drop straight down as if I'm not holding left (or right). Is anybody else having this issue? I haven't tried it on my iPhone yet.
It might have to do with the accessibility options on your phone. Someone mentioned a fix a while back in the this thread. Go into your Settings.app then go to General then to Accessibility. Turn off the Zoom feature. Please let us know how that works out for you!
Picked it up during the sale. Fun game but does anyone else find the graphical chugging to get in the way sometimes?
Don't have chugging or control issues on my iPad 2, and love the game. However, if I could add my 2 cents: the most cumbersome thing is the "Mission Failed" screen. Let me explain: after each death (and you will die. A lot), I have to basically click the "retry" button at the center of the screen, which requires me to move my hands. And it's very "zone"-breaking: you don't have the Super Meat Boy effect of "gogogooDEATHgogogogogoDEATHgogogogogogogoDONE" continuously (SMB restarts a second after you die, no screen in between). I think it would be better to remove this screen altogether, restart almost immediately after each death, and keep the pause button if you want to rage-quit a level. Again, just my 2 cents, but I think it would be a nice improvement.
Go to Settings (your iDevice's settings I mean), and scroll down to League of Evil. There's an option for exactly what you're asking for right there.
We just listened to the TA podcast and heard two opinions. One loved our iPad controls, the other hated. What do you guys think?
I use JoyPad when I play on the iPad so it doesn't really affect me (and the two of those together is a marvelous experience) but I think it shouldn't be too hard to implement a way to slide the controls around the screen for those who don't like where they are situated? Now get on that device syncing already! : ) Love this game!
The level editor is still in gameplan. Probably not until sometime next year. We are currently working on the sequel. I think you might be thinking of the "Enter the Dragon" chapter that we added a while back. That was the last time we said we were working on a new set of levels for LoE1.
Right now the game isn't being designed with anything pre-3rd gen in mind. Not to say we won't take a look if time permits, but we are focusing on the new devices since majority of our gamers are using 3rd gen and up.
