Awesome. Im not the only one on here with an ios 3 device. Maybe a first gen though. I assume the update should be out in the next day or two.
iOS 3 people get IOS 4 then you don't have this problem and have to complain to the developer to fix it. IOS 4 People Unite.
To be honest, im not bothered to see a dev stop support for ios 3 devices, and I actually have to give props to ravenous for fixing the issue. The ios 3 devices are 3-4 years old, and support for that long is excellent from platform that no one was supposed to take seriously a few years ago. I like it when devs move on to make better games for newer devices. Gives me some pretty sweet gaming when I get a shiny new toy.
We like supporting older devices. Priorities for older devices are less significant then the new devices however. We realize not everyone can grab a brand new shiny iDevice every time they get released but that shouldn't limit them from our library of games!
I am checking this thread like I am checking the tracking information on a delivery I can't wait to arrive. I have actually had a daydream about level creation and sharing levels. Something may be wrong with me. HAHA Questions for LOE players: 1) Are you finding the Jungle Levels much harder to get 3 stars (yes, i am aware of the soon to be rectified 2 sec delay)? Seems like I am having more trouble with those than the first two chapters. The timing is not as forgiving as the first two chapters. 2) Are you finding it damn near impossible to even come close to grabbing the briefcase and get 3 stars all in one run on the Jungle Levels? I guess I am asking if anyone is getting perfect levels on the Jungle Levels. I assume a perfect level is grabbing the briefcase and getting 3 stars all in one run correct? 3) Are you still missing the briefcase on level 26 of The Blocks Cometh level pack? I think one is missing from impossible levels as well, but I have only beat the first 3 levels of that pack so far. Question for Ravenous Games: 1) Is a perfect level getting the briefcase and 3 stars in the same run on a level? 2) It seems that the first two chapters, Weapons of Mass Destruction and The Blocks Cometh, have a 3 star time limit that allows you to get the briefcase and get 3 stars, but the jungle Levels do not seem to allow for that. Was that a deliberate deviation from the first two levels? If so, will it make getting a perfect level impossible on some Jungle Levels? A recap of what I would love to see (this is my personal wish list - may not be in agreement by other LOE players): 1) A bit more information on what a perfect level entails to get. 2) Add the missing briefcases. 3) Add fractions to the times. As someone else pointed out, tenths of seconds can allow us o improve our times. 4) A graphical indication on the level if we have obtained a perfect level for that level. 5) A level Editor/Creator allowing for the creation of all levels and sprites. 6) Level sharing ability between users or a community to share levels so that user levels can be played by all LOE players. (See Metanet's N game community for a good example). 7) A level set in which each level will be about the size of 4-5 current levels. 8) Potential future ability to take a hit and not die. 9) Potential future ability to have a grappling hook (A mesh between LOE and Hook Champ would kind of kick some ***. But not endless style. Having a clear finishing goal is much more pleasing to me. 10) Future ability to have a weapon of some sorts (simple gun, etc...) that would allow us to take out an enemy.
Thank god i thought i was the only one, the jungle missions are a lot harder and there are too many tiny platforms go jump to. I dont like the jungle as much as the first and second chapters.
I love the graphical style of the Jungle levels, but I also find them a bit too hard for me. It's kind of put me off the game a bit, unfortunately. I think it's mainly related to the excessively tough time trials; it's almost like they're trying too hard to make it like Mos Speedrun, but this isn't a racing game, it's more of a strategic plaformer. They're focusing on entirely the wrong aspect of the game with the new chapter imho. This game is about getting to the end of the level, not getting to the end of the level within an irritatingly tight time limit. Previous chapters gave you a slight luxury of time, but I think the time limits of the Jungle chapter are an attempt to make the game a lot harder, but there's a real danger of alienating the casual players with this update. Just my thoughts.
We've never played Mos Speedrun. Everyone complained how easy it was to get 3 stars on the first levels and we figured by the time gamers have finished over hundred levels that they would be ready for the Jungle levels. We can look into adjusting the level times, but we will see what the response is when the 2 second bug is resolved in the maintenance update. It should be out soon.
well, for now I will be satisfied to catch the briefcase in Jungle levels and not the tree stars lol...I've tried many, many times but...!
I've just focused on getting the cases in the jungle levels for now... With the time delay, it's almost impossible to get 3 star times. I'm waiting til the time fix to even attempt on getting the 3 stars in the jungle levels... I think then the times will be just fine. I agree with the devs... After going through 100+ levels, we should be able to get the 3 star times in the jungle levels when the update goes through. But right now, I agree it's almost a little too hard to get the times... But there is that 2 second bug... So... It's not really fair to comment on the times of the jungle levels until that issue is resolved.
i have to say love the jungle levels, im glad u guys made the levels slightly harder compared to the 1st 2 chapters. and honestly even with the 2 sec delay, its still very much doable to get all 3 stars. Just take it as an added challenge
I don't mind the extra toughness of the jungle levels, but my original question still stands. Is a perfect level getting a briefcase and 3 stars in the same play on a level? If so, is it pretty much impossible to get perfect levels on most of the jungle levels? I think the timing was set as such that you can just get to the scientist in enough time to get 3 stars. Any deviation from the shortest path seems like there is no way to be able to get the the briefcase and punch a scientist in enough time for 3 stars and thus, a perfect level.
It should be hard to 3 star a level though.. if you couldnt finish the levels at all then maybe theres a problem but thats not why your saying.. there are plenty of people that CAN do it and get a 3 star time. I think it would be a big mistake to make the times lower. Also how is LoE not about getting to the end as fast as possible? Thats why theres leader boards now
I must admit that the higher difficulty of the Jungle levels has me playing this only in short spurts. I get frustrated and usually can only manage a level or two (usually just one) before I feel like I need to take a break for a few days (or a week!) Well, maybe the real issue is I recently got an iPad 2 and I've been obsessed with gaming on that.
Yeah, I sort of agree with you really. Some days I really get annoyed with this one, but other days I love it. I guess that's changed a little though; I used to love it every day
=oP The time issue has made it so I haven't really played this since the update... I keep thinking I'll just need to go back and replay all the levels I beat after the update gets here... Oh well... Can't wait for it to go live!!
