I tend to agree. And it makes sense ... look what happen at really difficult games (morale decay, coverfire, etc. ...). But still the game was really fun especially if you enter into the spirit of getting the fastest time possible (GC would help there).
Definitely the biggest release of the day. Can't wait even though I already have the full beta version! That's how good it is. Once you start playing, even if you aren't the type that tries to get the fastest time possible, the heat of the game will get you into the spirit where you'll be retrying levels over and over with attempts to reach the finish quicker and look for shortcuts (not obvious ones of course, but little things here and there that can improve your score by mere milliseconds) Some of you are posing concern on the controls, but you shouldn't. Ravenous hit the nail head-on with the controls in the way that they're simple, easy to reach, responsive and just overall great! Loving the game, and as I've expressed before in the Upcoming Games section, I can't wait for the new levels that will be hitting soon!
it's GREAT hearing that the controls are spot on... The controls on the browser version aren't too bad... but what do you expect with a keyboard as apposed to a virtual hand held controller... And with 50 levels already, it's GREAT to hear that they're going to be adding more!!! I love games that offer A LOT of playtime for a VERY minimal price... (Robokill's another GREAT example... 460 rooms for 99 cents... )
Insta buy when have the money!! Also could somebody tell me if there is a replay button to see all your previous attempts at once (a la Super Meat Boy)? It would be great if i could see a horde of my little buddy tryng to pass the level and watching how i die, except for the one who makes it
This looks great and I will definitely try out the Lite version just to be sure I will enjoy it. One thing I cannot tell from the video or screenshots is whether the hero dies on one hit or if there is a health meter or something like that. I'm not crazy about perfection type games, but I will give it a try as it really looks good.
Thanks! Sounds like they toned the difficulty down a bit, so I am hopeful and will definitely be trying out the lite version as soon as it comes out.
Just finished the first 3 levels. Really fun and solid platformer so far from what I can tell. I actually prefer these virtual controls on the iPhone to my laptop's arrow keys.
