I've now got 3 stars and all briefcases on the first two screens of levels in the original set. Woohoo! I'm no dubfoolio, but I'm working on it. :) I'll work on the rest of the original set tonight, then on to perfecting the blocks cometh levels. I'm wondering if I'll ever even finish the first impossible mission, let alone 3 star or briefcase it, but that's OK.

I now have 3 stars on ALL the impossible levels. And ALL Briefcases in impossible levels except for 7, 16 and 18. :D

AND I also have all stars and all briefcases in The Blocks Cometh levels. :D

    YES YES YES.

I have been waiting for this type of game since I got my first iphone. I actually had to make myself not press the jump button so hard i was getting so excited.

I love the short levels. Please keep the updates coming! More levels please!

Thank you for finally making me feel like the iphone can actually have buttons in a game!

I agree with adding longer levels, this has the potential to be the mario of the iphone!!

I can't stop playing, but almost want to bc I don't want it to end!

I don't want longer levels. Part of what makes this game work for me is that all the levels are short. The game is hard, so having longer levels would just be more frustrating IMHO. I think that must be the problem I have with games like MegaMan. If MegaMan had 100 short levels instead of 8 long ones, I'd be a much bigger fan of that series of games. So, more levels, not longer levels for me.

crunc, we are on the same page. i really like the short levels, and would like more. just thought a nice segway/ addition would be a level pack with larger levels as well as a little bonus.

honestly, just want them to keep up this style somehow.

    I'm also with crunc & onyx77.

The game is fun for me cause its short and keeps the frustration level down. I've only played the impossible mission a few times, and while its fun for me, its a few steps from "rage quitting" for me. Thankfully the balance is kept in the fun area though!

While I like the impossible missions, I prefer the difficulty to the original & the block cometh levels.

Always love a good challenge, but make levels too long and it almost becomes less of question of skill, and more of an exercise in memorization. And that's just frustrating.

Just wanted to know what's the difficultly like on the impossible levels after level 3? I'm stuck at the moment on level 3 and wanted to know if that was one of the hardest levels.

They're all pretty hard, but I must say that level 3 was one of the hardest for me. I was stuck on that one for quite a while.

Are you stuck on that long jump?

yeah I get the briefcase, jump down, go through the lasers, and then jump on to the moving platform and from there I can't get through the things that shock you

do you guys use the attack button for sliding? cause thats like an extra jump, once i got the curve of it i found the impossible missions quite easy :)

I really don't know why this game is being tagged as the "best iOS platformer" - I've finished the Weapon Of Mass Destruction and The Blocks Cometh! missions, 3 stars, missing about 5 briefcases...

And it's really not as great as I thought it was going to be after reading what everyone had to say about it...

I'd still pick Miss Claire Garden, Grokion, Soosiz, Pizza Boy, MaXplosion, Castle Of Magic, Frogatto, Shadow Candy Sugar Rush, Babylon Twins, Hooga, Lars, Sonic 4, even Phoenix Spirit over this one any day...

Not to say that it's bad... it is one of the better platformers in the AppStore, and it was an alright gaming experience... but THE BEST... REALLY?!?!?! It's all I've read in other platforming games reviews... "get League Of Evil, it's WAY BETTER than this..." or "nothing compared to LOE..." same with here on the TA forums...

Maybe I just don't get it... is it that it's a timed challenge? Is it the controls? I just... would personally recommend quite a few other platformers to friends before recommending this one... a big reason is that this game takes no time at all to run through... I beat all but the Impossible Missions in less than a day... For $2, it might just be me, but I expect a little more gameplay than that. Miss Claire Garden is my #1 favorite iOS platformer, and a big reason for that, aside from the great gameplay, and slight metroidvania aspect, not to mention the memories of the hours and hours I spent on Mario 2 when I was a kid... it took me AT LEAST 20 hours to run through it my first time through... my second time took me 18 hours... there's THAT MUCH CONTENT, and THAT MUCH CHALLENGE... the fact that it's only a buck amazes me... more than 40 hours thrown into a game for a buck?!?!?! In my mind, that right there is a feat in itself...

oh yeah... FLAME ME NOW... =oP

Probably because of the 8-bit style?

Yeah the gameplay is nothing like Mega Man. If anything, it's closer to Super Meat Boy.

On a side note, I just finished the first two zones with full stars and suitcases. The impossible levels are kicking my butt though.

And is there any word on leaderboards? I can see they're in the works, but currently empty.

You have the right to have your own opinon (remember there is a lot of fanboyism and trolls everywhere) but LoE is better than all those game combined. I previewed Claire Garden and this IS a lot better

Well I know what you mean, and understand where you're coming from. I mean, LoE isn't the deepest, in-depth platformer out there, I know. But the fact that it's so, I don't know how to explain this, but to me it feels like it's like the perfect iOS platforming experience because of it's tight simple controls, and bit sized levels make it easy for any gamer to just pick it up and play it on the go.

So, if you're looking for a deep platformer that has lots of huge levels (like Hooga or Grokion) then LoE probably isn't for you. But if you want a fun simple, fun casual platformer that you can play anywhere, then LoE is perfect for that. I think that's why people like it so much. I know thats why I like it so much.

    My two cents. :D

    EDIT:

Oh yeah and I've never even heard of Miss Claire Garden. I'm gonna have to check that one out.

@syntheticvoid not trolling, but you need to check your taste a bit, if you think anything can even compete with this platformer, there's no platformer better than this on the iOS.

not on gameplay, not on looks or sound.

glad we cleared that up ;) have a nice day.
