https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lazy-sweet-tycoon/id1153615526?ls=1 I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure of playing a premium tycoon game that involves active and passive playing. But reading about the game it does sound pretty in depth like there’s a lot to do and manage which sounds fun. Along with the competition vs other players and it is only 99p. Just wondering if any of you have tried it? Also if anyone does, is it just a continuous game where you can keep improving or does it have a prestige system a lot of the freemium games use to pad out game length? ShinHadoukin Well-Known Member Feb 20, 2015 969 141 43 #3 ShinHadoukin, May 8, 2020 What I see is a .99 game with IAP that I bet is currency. You wouldn’t need to buy any in a balanced game. .99 is low enough for people to bite and think it’s premium then need such absurd amounts of something you’re encouraged to spend money. Maybe not, & I am interested. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,759 990 113 #4 ste86uk, May 8, 2020 @ShinHadoukin I haven’t spent long enough with it yet to give impressions. But I just checked the IAP and it’s basically just for a premium currency that can be used to purchase new skins and that’s all, it can’t help with progress or anything else at all in the game. You also earn them while playing. So they aren’t necessary at all and has a pop up when you go into that section that says it’s just there to support the game. Because as you said the game is very cheap after all. Looks like the £4.99 one would buy every island and people skin in the game and have a lot more leftover. ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,759 990 113 #5 ste86uk, May 8, 2020 It’s hard to know where to start with this, I guess it’s like a lot of these types of games but without the stupid adverts all the time for “bonuses” and all the IAP’s. As I said above it does have a couple of iap but it only goes from 99p to 4.99 and only unlocks skins for the game and I am earning the currency playing. Unsure if I’ll get enough to buy skins or how long it’ll take but for a 99p game I think it’s fine. You basically earn money automatically as your factory produces sweets, you have machines you can upgrade. The price for upgrades changes every few minutes and you can get common, uncommon, epic and legendary deals which give the best value for money. All the upgrades increase your income but along with that you have to keep up with hiring transport for your goods to make sure you always have enough. Although so far that has been pretty easy to do. There are management options that gives you multiple slider bars that to me basically seem to let you either make your factory more powerful passively or for active play and you can move them whenever you like. Now tapping, that’s generally in these games and it is here also but thankfully not as it is in others where you can just stay and endlessly tap. You have a sugar bar and once it’s used up it tells you how long until it will be full again. Also you don’t have to tap you can just hold down to use it, it expands outward from your factory creating or charging items that you can then tap for cash rewards. Also you can tap to motivate staff and make them work harder for a while. In has a leaderboards and live events section, although I’ve only seen the one event on so I can’t comment if there are others or not. But on this one you earn points for tapping to collect cash, motivate staff and other things that sound more for active play. I’m sure some will like the competition but for me it’s just in the background for now there’s no need to pay any attention to it. So TLDR in conclusion it is a premium idle game, you can okay this actively but I don’t imagine even that would keep you entertained long. But if your happy for a kind of idle management sim that you check on multiple times throughout the day then this is as good as any I’ve tried and has the bonus of no adverts or cash buying to jump ahead etc (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
