Judging by comments all over the web, steel, oak and crucial parts for the chopper is not implemented yet.

I was going to ask about steel haha. There's an oak forest across the river so it's there just need the atv. I'm wondering if the beta version of the game had more in it before they released the early access build and took stuff out and maybe that's why we are seeing people with stuff we can't seem to find . I've been just about everywhere I can go except I wasn't able to loot around the red difficulty stone/metal area because of the giant ape zombie but since loot is random I really don't think it matters . But I am wondering if some of that stuff can only be found out there in those harder levels. If you haven't gone, take plenty of healing, full gear, at least 2 weapons. Lots of toxic spitters/toxic bloaters, fast biters, you know the stuff that hunts you out
Those bases you see with the atv and chopper nearly completed are all AI bases layed out by the devs. You cant do anything with them or loot them. The game as it is now is single player. No player has the chopper or the atv. The only way other people are influencing your game is devs pulling random names from users and sticking them to the ai being sent to kill you from time to time.
Well, not entirely true - I have been able to loot other bases, AI or not. I do wish that the Dev would come in here just to clarify what's actually in game. Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still having fun with this one. Also, about the ATV - even before I realized it might not be in game, I decided to upgrade my base first. Both the ATV and the 3rd level of the walls/floor require a lot of iron. So for now it makes sense to really fortify your base, at least to level 3 (stone). Surround it with traps. Then get all the workstations you can unlock up and running. By the time a more fleshed out multiplayer is added your base will be solid.

Well the persons next to you aren't real players but AI (edit, see someone already answered that). But let me know when/if you or anyone finds this. Again most sources says it is not inplemented yet. Yet to find anyone saying they have handle, steel or oak. Again according to most all sources I have been able to find, including the level 80+ players, they aren't in game. Lvl 52 here and yet to find handle and tank as well. I don't mind though. Playing this as Sims currently haha, so having a blast just collecting and fleshing out my base. Just got the couch done hoooray. Will happily wait. UI is perfect, gathering is fun and the game has so much potential.
It is all ai rn they already said next big update is gonna have some multiplayer. Allow unless they add steel and oak I don't see the point if you can't build a clan tower. Unless they just do random team ups. Has anyone looted the scourge forest or whatever it's called?? The place where the horde comes from.
How is it not Ai that attacks us? THe Devs mentioned that it's a multiplayer game you get to fight clans and other people, didn't u watch the trailer or read the game discription? Also I get attacked by not same users.
They are wiping the servers though. Also you can loot the bases just not the chopper being built. Sorry if what i said came out pretty vague.
No worries, I misinterpreted. They MIGHT wipe the servers, according to their Facebook post. And if they do it looks likely to be a partial wipe, whatever that means. Also, I noticed that chopper being built at another base - you can't loot it, but it seems you CAN add to it. Has anyone tried completing it that way? It has a lot of the parts already...
According to players that have experienced data wipes, they've lost levels and learned recipes . Someone said they were level 70 and after a wipe they were back down to 50. I only went to 1 base and there wasn't anything but buildings which you can't do anything with without c4 , it had a couple gardens to loot, meat dryer, rain catcher, 2 smelters but they were blocked by 3 spike traps so I couldn't get to them. You couldn't see inside the building or go in or anything so it was pretty useless . But it was only 1 of the 3 on my map .
Right now it is AI the game has no multiplayer in it yet. The game as it is is an early access build it's basically a beta missing most of the game so I'd consider it more of a demo. You get to play the main mechanics of the game, the whole point of it actually. To survive day to day. But they are slowly going to be adding more and more to it for everyone to try the next big one is raids .
I've found countless military bunker cards. A, B, C, and F. But, today I found a D. Not that it matters there's only 2 you can get to right now
I also realized you can only loot your corpse in places that don't refresh when you return home. So basically if you die at home or the bunkers and that's it lol. I was killed by an ai with a sniper rifle
