Thought it was worth sharing that apparently the worlds most active spam generator has gone quiet. See http://techland.time.com/2011/03/17/the-worlds-largest-spambot-network-goes-quiet Always wondered how it works and how much percentage of those enlargement stuff spam actually works. Anyone has a theory?
The last official figure for successful spam mail was something like 0.004% or 0.0004%, I forget. Sounds like a low percentage but if you're sending scams out to billions of email addresses every single day and 0.004% of those people send you a cheque for $10,000 you're in the mo-naaay.
