Technically it's the Warrior Within, not Sands of Time, but I agree, that is one incredible game. I can't wait to get my new iPod so I can test out the retina graphics. This game kind of reminds me of PoP in a way, I guess it's the whole environment, but both games are very good, although a little buggy, but very good!
This game is great. The controls work well and I love the spear throwing and using the grapple to climb walls. My only complaint so far is the lack of retina support, but that's not really a big issue seeing as the graphics look ok without it. I'm not sure why all the reviews are bad, but I'm definitely glad I ignored them and listened to the people in this thread.
Definitely with you on this statement. Was initially turned off from the front page sources and didn't even dip into the thread. But once I started reading I'm thinking..... I did what was suggested earlier as in turning the game brightness all the way off and turning the Touch brightness setting to almost full. Not sure how it looked otherwise but might be different.
Brad's take of our opinions in his latest review; "Dungeon Defenders iOS is a deep, sometimes entertaining game… but the controls are a core, critical, nasty flaw that I don't think can be "fixed" or addressed in any meaningful way. The game, quite simply, requires all the stuff the UI is lit up with. There's a chance that if you're the kind of guy who can play, say, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light without issues, you might be able to get into this one...."
Heh, maybe I should give it a shot then. Seriously, if you have issues with the control of Lara Croft, I can't see you not having issues with any games with virtual controls.
Seems a little sensitive there . Funny thing is, Brad's main criticism about DD (camera control) is right on IMO.
Ara you sure ? Funtouch, french site: http://www.funtouch.net/Actu-5233-Le-Top-Flop-de-l-equipe-FunTouch,5233 Lara Croft: Akiel: 9/10 iJoys: 8/10 For Brad, Virtual joystick= Bad iPhone game, even if the game is marvellous, deep, playable, this is juste that. Not for the iPhone at start= not good at all. THAT is the Brad's logics. It's a REAL problem for Toucharcade.
This HD version has been removed from the US App Store so hopefully that means it will be re-released soon with an update fixing the crashing.
Has anyone esle had a problem at the end of level 3, the spider tomb. After weighing down the final counter weight and extending the bridge, I cannot cross the bridge. The spikes in fornt of the bridge are down, but it wont let me walk or jump across to get onto the bridge. When I jump forward she dies. I watched a youtube video of the xbox version of this level and they were able to just walk across at this point. I'm not sure if something is different in this version or if I have encountered a bug. I would greatly appreciate any help.
it has been mentioned in this thread near the beginning i think in the first 10 pages or so. It is a bug, but there's a way around it, and if you re-start the level it should be gone aswell. I haven't got to that part yet. busy playing Max Adventure still lol
I found a way how to fix the bug. You need in options unchcek automatc connection to gamecenter.I did it and now it never crashes
It's a bug, but should be able to cross to the bridge on a second playthrough. If you'd rather not restart the level, you can jumping over the invisible spikes by leaping onto a spear.
This is a hilariously ridiculous conclusion to come to. I confirm every review that gets posted on TouchArcade by playing the game myself. I also didn't like the controls. I really wish I could figure out why you seem to get so offended that our opinions differ from yours. Do you not understand that at the end of the day a review is entirely based on opinion? I don't get it.
