Language setting for apps

Is there any way to set the language for a game (that has multiple languages) that doesn't have language settings in-game, without setting the entire iPhone's system to that language? For example, I want to play some games in Japanese, however the game does not have language settings in the options, and automatically switches to Japanese only if my iPhone is set to Japanese. Is it possible to keep my system at another language while the game runs in Japanese?

You always ask the toughest questions :) Better than asking dumb ones though.

I don't know about this one. I wouldn't know where to begin but the only way I could think of is if you're jailbroken, you could possibly go into the Application folder and perhaps modify the plist or something...?

I can't think of another way you'd be able to change game settings without a game setting menu or option.

  3. To answer you question no you can't. Having said that if you wish not to run many apps in Japanese best is to keep it set to English and just enable the keyboards and emoji and you can still type in Japanese in any app, etc. by toggling to Japanese keyboard.

I always keep one itouch in Japanese and the other in English so I can tell which games do this.

I have my Touch set to Japanese (which confused me at first because the dates and stuff were still in English before I realized that I hadn't set the country as Japan, only the language), and the first time I started up an app that had been localized in Japanese I was like "Whoa, call the doctor how did this happen?".

Kind of obvious, but I really didn't expect that warcraft game from gameloft (forgot the name) to have a Japanese option.

That said, I would like it if they had an in game option for language settings. I mean, if they're going to default to whatever language the device is set to (such as Japanese), and go through all that trouble to translate, etc. Might as well have an in game option as well.

Yes that would be great, since the game has language packs, why not let players be able to choose it? Specifically I was referring to Sangokushi Touch in the OP; I'm just not used to seeing everything's names in English since I played the PC version in Chinese and Japanese, have to manually translate them in my mind before figuring out moves.
