To answer my own question, THESE NEW CHARACTERS ARE MUCH MORE THAN WINDOW DRESSING!! Each character is essentially a unique game mode. Take the Prom Queen, for example. If you choose to play as the Prom Queen you'll lose the ability to do wheelies but instead are granted the ability to perform jumps off of ramps! If you choose the Biker Dude you'll lose the ability to do wheelies for the ability to kick your speed into turbo by going into full throttle (handy when avoiding the cops).

Hey guys, I'm glad you're liking the game! Touch controls are something that's been requested before, but getting them to feel right is tough, and we wouldn't want to put anything into the game that didn't feel 100% solid. Just for you guys though, I will do a little bit of experimenting next week to see if I can hit the right formula. (please don't take this to mean I'm promising anything! Upgrading, update? I'm somewhat confused; is this a standalone sequel or have I somehow missed a DLC option in the original?
Yeah the terminology is a bit confusing. If you download the (free) update there is a bunch of new, free content, including a new character to play. There is also an optional in app purchase you can do which will unlock up to 4 additional characters.
I hope you're having good luck with the touch controls.....on the iPhone tilt controls work great, but on the iPad touch controls just feels more right to me....hard to be precise tilting a iPad. Thanks for working on it
Glad to see this updated with new stuff and running fine on iOS 9! This was the first iOS game I bought years ago and since then I have been installing it on every new device I get. The only thing I miss is some way to sync coins and unlocked characters among devices. Still a very fun game to play nonetheless!
This was probably the first really good "endless driver" that I can remember. I haven't played it in years. I think the last device I played it on was an iPhone 3GS or iPod 4G. It's been awhile. Gonna reinstall it now.
The only thing preventing me from purchasing this one was there are no touch controls. Can anyone check to see if this update added them? If not I'll continue to wait I guess. Lol Keep hope alive! Billy
Nah man. I just double checked. Still only tilt controls. I'm not a huge fan of tilt either, but it does work pretty well in this game. It may be a little too easy with touch controls. They've added quite a bit since I played it back in the day. I remember when it started out with just one rider. Now there's a ton. It's a pretty fun game tho for what it is. It's worth the buck IMO.
