New? So using the new color burn free app on App Store and a filter here is something new. I don't know what to make of it though
Omg Ok I am getting a little excited as I am in Cambodia and I think this is Angkor Wat. I am using some imagination but it is where tomb raider was filmed and I see an apsara Buddha face/head here and trees around. Anyone else see what I see ?
Spoiler: Acrivate Alter Solution You need to have 3 enemies cross the skull and it activates the alter
Hey PokerSlave, similar to my image on 136 but looks clearer. Could be a map. But it's so easy to jump to conclusions, i'm not convinced it's Angor Wat. Or the solution. Keep trying, you might be onto something! Something is there. I think. Or is there? (Muscat, hint hint)
Another great piece of art! It looks like something meaningful (you could interpret as the hot-spot is a location on a map) but I think there will be a clearer message hidden. Apart from the GCAP clue it's been pretty clear cut so far. Oh, and the Ski Game clue, that was proper vague. Hmm... Argh, I hope we can work this out. I was hoping it was a case of finding the right de-Steg tool to decode it. No amount of Photoshop or other work seems to be solving it. The picture is made up of layers, lots of them. So who knows if the filters are creating something or one of the layers is the solution.
Hey everyone, I'm back at work as of today, getting caught up on everything now. First of all HOLY WHAT GOTY?!?! We are super excited and honored We actually found a potential bug that may be causing this just the other day. Will be fixed in the next update! RE: ARG stuff. When you find what is hidden, it should be very clearly a solution. It wont be another level of obfuscation. One small mistake I can see people making is using versions of the images uploaded to the forum or the google doc. These ones are all compressed in crazy weird ways, I would try and make sure you are using the originals. Also, seems like the Christmas Quest was a success! We learned a lot and can see a lot of suggestions on how to improve it as well though, so keep an eye out for a new themed quest in the near future
Hi, I have gathered all the pictures here. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qajctbusu5caw94/AABBjD2xh4RjkGsk7amBeicaa?dl=0 Interestingly, all of them were attachments to the forum and 900 x 900 wide. Laura Hall was the only one to upload the original uncompressed file with a very long name. For some reason it's 832 x 832 which does not match the latest picture (height) of the new picture. Odd! Laura has been Tweeted. Help! Ps I'm getting the overheating problem a lot on m IPhone six. It has cut many a gaming session short!
muscats reply says that we need the original images and not to use the one from the forum or google doc. unfortunately most of the people who found the original files aren't following the thread anymore unless the originals can be found somewhere other than the usb drives.
I still have the original Wellington, NZ image; the dimensions are 900x900 and the filename is simply 121.png. If anybody wants it let me know and I can send it.
Hey Flenser, it doesn't look compressed or to be any different. If you could download the file and check the file size is exactly the same that should confirm it. UPDATE: Flenser sent the file (Thanks!) and it is a slightly different size (Only 684kb Vs 698kb) - I've put it up on the dropbox page: https://www.dropbox.com/home/Land%20Sliders as '121.png Original' Now to track down the other USB-Knights!
Not Jet Pack Joyride After Much trial and Error I have come up with this. Which I think translates to the next pic
Gabba Did some googling on Muscat and saw cricket somewhere. So thought my image looked like a stadium so googled Brisbane Cricket Field and got this which I think matches. Are we there yet?
Looks like the 121.png Original and the 121.png from TA Forums are identical. You can overlay them with a Difference filter and the resulting image is pure black (ie. all their pixels match). One thing I've noticed is that I can no longer see that weird spot of difference between the big "ajec" pic and the original pics that I saw earlier, so that was probably just due to some compression artifact. Not that any of that gets us closer to the clue! Gah!
