Good point Brad. Is it simply hinting at the fact everyone had to find the USB sticks with the picture parts in real life? As far as we know someone is yet to go to the actual Enigma Rooms in Sydney.

Anyone else notice that Mrs Clause <3s "mistletoe" but the thing she gathers is actually holly?

That was already solved. The answer is the source code of the whathappenedinlandsliders website

This is a really tough one to give a clue on without giving it away. But I can tell you that you DON'T need to entering any codes into the keypad.

hmmm. I re-downloaded the big image file (i.e. the ajeciwnkki.png one), and am currently going through this thread looking for all the individual geo-cache clues. So far overlaying the old images over the new one in Photoshop is not revealing any differences *except* for the fact that the big image is a little darker than the original clue images?

Is there maybe some kind of embedded file or steganography going on here? I have no idea how to decode that stuff...

I'll update if I find anything more as I work through all the old clues.

    Update:
Here is what the final overlay looks like. I used the Difference layer blending to show where the old clues were different from the large image (darker colors = more identical regions). The bright strips are the areas where we didn't actually have a geocache clue image. I also uploaded a version where i adjusted the brightness of the original clue images to better match the big image, and did the same difference overlay. It looks like there are a few areas of difference (particularly in the upper left areas of the image), but nothing that seems organized or meaningful...

I'm not very good with this kind of stuff but upon inspection of the image, I noticed it's quite large for an image file (Over 4mb). I think there may be a hidden file within the image. I will play around with it but like I said, I'm not very good. Does anyone have knowledge of finding hidden files in images?

I made a test file that matched the dimensions (5,400 x 900) and filled it with random scribbles/clouds/noise. Saving it as a PNG yielded a size of 10+mb. (conversely, a file with simple colors/low complexity gave a file size of ~700kb). So 4mb is reasonable for a PNG file of those dimensions.

That's not to say there isn't a hidden file in the image, just that the size of the file alone doesn't necessarily indicate one way or another. FWIW, I downloaded a hex editor and looked at the file. The proper PNG bytes were at the very start and at the very end of the file's data, so if there is something hidden in there, it's interpolated with the image data itself, and not just tacked on to the start or end of the file.

Anyone know how to check a file for steganography? I tried looking for some online solvers, but nothing could accept a file that was 4mb (most were designed for image files in the kb size range)

Hi, I made an account to say that Land Sliders took so much of my time and discovering the existence of this thread (thanks to that confusing sunburst), I just spent a few hours reading all the previous pages and it was worth it learning that a global adventure was going on!

Good luck to everyone working on this! (can't be any help haha) And thanks to the devs for being really awesome! I am so excited to see what'll happen next :D guess I'll be playing until something new is discovered.

Santa Claus better show his big fat behind. I have been playing this game everyday. Day and night. 24/7. The fat bastard in red suit has not shown up yet. Hell will break loose if he doesn't show up on Christmas Day. I won't be able to get any sleep. I will track him down, knock Mrs. Claus lights out, destroy all presents, kill all the elves, and burn down the village until he shows himself

(Please don't take this post seriously)

Santa Claus is really elusive. He's the only chrismas character I have yet to unlock. Don't forget to play this game on Christmas! Probably the best chance at finding him. Let us see if he shows up. Fun game btw

    Concerns About Santa

    Hello, all! frisbee10461 here!

OK, as of December 23rd, Santa has not yet made an appearance, and that is OK, because he's double-checking his lists, making global travel arrangements, and giving the reindeer their final tune-ups, not to mention making sure the elves are not drinking too much egg nog. So, I fully understand his deadlines.

However, Mrs. Claus has been available to play for several weeks now. Don't let the grey hair fool you; everyone knows Mama Claus likes to do the Sweaty Lambada. So, Santa, you may want to start paying attention to Hot Mama Claus or the next item she will be collecting in Land Sliders will be alimony checks.

A happy wife is a happy life. Just saying.

Hahaha, that is brilliant! I'd happily pay 0.79p for the Land Sliders 'Trouble in Lapland' addition. Poor Mrs. Claus.

On the puzzle, we have a picture of the original code sequence. When someone said "it's the same as the original code picture" Muscat said "Is it?". We will never know as we do not have the complete original picture. There are more USB sticks to find.

Another thing I was looking at, and this may be a complete red herring, was the original picture file names. Only one person finding one of the USB sticks confirmed the image was named 'iiiii'. Other file names include:

107tn3n, jyyj, izBZIKG and less codey looking names bking, nearend and Garland Hunt.

It's probably nothing but we're a bit stuck still!

Possibly, but the coordinate podiums were removed from the game, so I don't know if we can even find the missing USB sticks any more! Also, Muscat seemed to imply that if he gave us a more concrete clue, the answer would be obvious, which I took to mean that whatever it is we are looking for is somewhere in the ajeciwnkki.png image/file already.

I was looking at the file in the image editor a bit more and found some *extremely* subtle changes between the ajeciwnkki.png image and the geocache clue... mostly on the left side of the image, near the top and bottom (unfortunately, that is the area of the image that is right next to one of the missing original clues). And by subtle, I mean there are some shadows in the original clues that aren't there in the large image. Nothing that is a recognizable (or rather, meaningful) shape, but it is clearly a local difference in new image.

So Muscat was telling the truth when he implied the image was different! Yay? Heh. I still have no clue what the actual clue is! Maybe I'm looking at this too hard...

A picture of one of the differences:

Playing around with the two pictures I created an inverse of the original images that are available and applied a hard mix filter and this happened:

I'm not sure what it is, it kind of looks like a man looking down to the right. Tbh it's a bit like a Rorchach ink blot test and could be anything (or nothing)! There are random tiny blots over the rest of the picture but nothing meaningful.

We don't have the other images to see if there is any more 'hidden' information in other areas of the picture. Again, could be nothing but it's the first definite shape I've seen come out of the picture.

The whole picture looks like this with the filter applied:
