The hashtag #LarryLives is apparently used by One Direction fans who think that two members (Louis and Harry) are secretly lovers. No, really, that's a thing. "One Direction" could be relevant.
I agree, seems that this last part was too dragged out and some people didn't want to keep checking in to nothing. Seems we are stuck with this last clue as well
Definitely. Luke Muscat explained that he had to pace the side game since the first parts got solved too quickly. Understandable, but it takes the wind out of the game to have clues come out so slowly and not be solvable til most (or all) of them are given to us. I spend about a minute on new clues then put it aside til the next clue, since I probably don't have enough info to go on. Some people have wasted a lot of time trying to solve puzzles that are unsolvable. It's not a complaint, just an observation. I paid nothing for the side game, and parts of it have been clever and fun. Land Sliders is a great game, and I can't wait to see the updates to come.
Still in the game You're right, after the picture clues were correct, nobody found the next Clue at the GCAP! So we had to wait for a seemingly long time for muscat to post it on twitter. I think we lost a few people here, simply because we had a Cliffhanger for days... Still trying to figure out what the "oct" clue means, while playing Landsliders!
I have been trying to sit with the GCAP image clue, but can only think of Leisure Suit Larry for the LarryLives part. I've also tried to think of other interpretations for 'oct', but can't come up with anything helpful, unless it's a reference to 8?
I tried to set my phones date to 01.01.01 to see if that was relevant but with the way the iPhone date setting works I couldn't get to 1.1.1
Yup, we're stuck, alright. I tried toying around with the idea of anagrams. The image has: I tried putting it all into an anagram generator, using A and B to stand in for the 1s and 2s. Also plugged in LarryLives by itself as well as with Oct and LS added in. Didn't come up with anything that seemed relevant, unfortunately.
Well I have absolutely no idea what any of the words or number strings could mean so I guess it's another waiting game
Haha, dang, I totally didn't think it was that bad. Might have to start dropping some vague clues. Here's a better look at the clue.
Hmm. I just had the thought that the "oct" in the clue doesn't refer to October, but octal. Where's our resident cypher guy? I'm tinkering with the numbers, but I'm not very savvy with this kind of stuff, so even if this is a cypher that uses octal numbers, I'm not the guy to figure it out, lol.
That's a great start. I've been thinking that the font used can easily let some of these letters be interpreted as numbers, but I'm not sure it should be flipped upside down or not. Maybe it's a new pattern to enter into the rose compass puzzle to give us a new website?
If LS1.2 stands for Land Sliders version 1.2 then we will need to wait for that: we're still at 1.1... Waiting for an app update?
That's what I thought, too. I've been waiting. But Muscat's recent comments lead me to believe we can solve this as is.
