I suspect the second "jigsaw" picture is an icon for either a programming language or an MS Office-like application. Possibly Powerpoint?
How about the maps that clearly have something blocked out? maybe figuring what those blocked words are? In the newest maps picture it seems like the map legends are blacked out? Well all except one map...maybe something. I dunno
Just wanted to say that I'm loving the update. I'm 1 character shy of a full set (excluding gold variants), and I finally broke 400 points (446 on level 13). It's not all smiles and sunshine though, as I do have some bug feedback: - After updating I lost my gold black hole character! It might also have something to do with me logging in to GameCentre for the first time. - I've fallen through the level a few times. This never happened to me prior to updating. - Is it just me or do some levels repeat? Like...immediately afterwards? I know levels are procedural, but I'm reasonably confident that on occassion I've played the same level twice in a row. - My 'in the hearts and butts' achievement is stuck at 87%. To clarify, these are not complaints. Just wanting to feed these back in case they're useful to the dev team.
Maybe the puzzle has to do with C#? So I've been watching his thread for a while without really taking the time to get involved but going back to the picture idea that they all start with C could it be because of the coding format C#? I remember C# being mentioned in previous posts but can't remember which stage of this puzzle it was used for or if it could be relevant.
Attached is one of the maps that had an area blacked out It seems that it was just a search for 'asia' i have placed the maps I found over the top so you can see what all the blacked out bits were
I completely agree. It's a search for "Asia". We might want to consider the order the photos were posted, taking into account the first time we saw each photo and the order that the remaining pieces were revealed. They did not come out in a logical order. Code 1 Yamba Coast 1 Code 2 Cat Enthusiast 1 Yamba Coast 2 Asia 1 Code 3 Slide 1 Cat Enthusiast 2 Jigsaw Puzzle 1 Yamba Coast 3 Asia 2 Asia 3 Perhaps we have the titles wrong. Just a thought, but with the right titles, we might take the first letter of the title for the first time we saw it, the second letter of the title the second time we saw it, and so on in the order they were revealed. For what I have here it would yield CYOCAADSAJMSI which makes no sense... but there might be something there. Just throwing it out there to see if it jogs any other ideas.
The first letter idea is good, but I dont feel like thats the clue. Since in Muscast's post he mentioned that the additional clues will help us solve it and are not necessarily required, I don't think we would have to wait for all the pictures to come out to know what it means. That said. I have no idea what the answer could be so....
In the composite maps image, "Asia" is blacked out, and that's either because it's the hidden bit you're supposed to figure out for that image, or because it's irrelevant, but I'd guess the former. In the coastline image all text is blacked out because that would definitively point you to "Yamba", or because it's irrelevant and the answer is something like "coastline", but again I'm going for the former. If that text were irrelevant, then why not turn off labels before snapping the picture? I think it's telling that a majority of the waterslide image is blacked out. However, in that case, I think that's to make it clear that "waterslide" is the thing to focus on, rather than the pool, trees, smaller slide, building in the background, people, and twisty slide on the right, that are all (mostly) blacked out. I agree that the order of images seems relevant. If you're supposed to take the answer for each image and then arrange the first/etc. letters of that answer in order get the meta-answer is unknown, but if that's the case then I'd expect that resulting message to have a finite length, and then that means at some point the images will stop, and I'd also expect that we won't get the full 3 parts to each image, unless they were carefully chosen to fit into the message length (each image used only 3 times, unless parts repeat, which hasn't happened yet). If this is some kind of rebus puzzle, then the same thing. There are a fixed number of images that would form the message. If it's a collection of images that taken in aggregate point to some theme (like they all start with "C" so "C" is the answer), well then they could just keep adding images until we get it.
I'm with you on all of your points. As for the photos representing a letter such as "C", the biggest problem I have with this is I don't see how that leads you to an actionable next step. So far, we have been given: in-game coordinates to usb's with images that revealed a code to... a cypher, which led us to... a website with a Unity puzzle that led us to... follow a twitter account which gave us... six photos (so far) How are these photos going to get us to another website? or in-game code? or...?
Because these clues are coming via a twitter account, and it seems like the answer might be some kind of phrase/message resulting from these images and perhaps not long-winded instructions or an address, I would guess that once somebody tweets the right answer to that account, the next clue/location will be given.
The puzzle clue came after Muscat said additional clues will help but aren't necessarily needed. *The puzzle could just be telling us to put the other clues together. *The Asia map most likely means Asia since it was blacked out and maps can be found by searching Asia on Google. *The cat enthusiast could refer to her or based off the colors of the background could refer to turny...maybe telling us to tweet turny the right answer *The yamba image could be a few things but why have the pointer in that image and not the others? The pointer could be referring to the ocean or is lined up with the black out label to its left (blue dolphin holiday resort) *The unity clue is tough as it could represent many things and I'm not quite sure what to make of it *Lastly the water slide clue which could directly mean water slide. Have tried piecing things together but can't seem to make everything fit...
Yeah, I think the final solution won't come from just piecing together puzzles... I think there'll to be a two-way communication somewhere down the line via that Twitter account before it's all solved.
Has anyone been able to find where the puzzle piece image is from? all other images has known locations... Cat is screenshot from game Asia is screenshot of google image search Yamba is screenshot of Google maps Unity is screenshot of unity Waterslide is an image from a water park
Because I was bored, I associated a number with each of the images posted (in ascending order) and did the following groupings: Images that go with each other (to be combined to make another image): 1 and 3 and 7 2 and 5 and 11 3 and 1 and 7 4 and 9 5 and 2 and 11 6 and 12 7 and 3 and 1 8 and nothing 9 and 4 10 and 14 11 and 5 and 2 12 and 13 13 and 12 14 and 10 Dot/mask patters are the same in the following images: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 3, 5, 9, 12, 14 7, 11, 13 I can't see any patterns in any of those numbers, but maybe someone else can. Or maybe there's no pattern to them at all, just putting it out there.
I have tried so so so many searches and can't find it. I've tried text searches and searches for similar images. I can find lots of similar stuff, but nothing the same. I think The image would have to be cleaned up a ton to hit on a photo search.
