Ah, but what if that's just all regular characters and all gold characters? PS. Thanks for the contribution Luke!
Because it is the same image with a different selection of pixels removed. I was referring to an earlier conversation in this thread from today, where I stated that I hoped that they weren't giving us more data for clues we had already solved, and I was hoping the cat enthusiast was an example to support that. So, either there is something we're missing in this clue, and they're providing more info, or they're just going to give us clues whether we have figured them out or not.
OK, so nix what I just said. I figured this thing was on a set schedule to maximize viral/community involvement and this Twitter step was just designed to take a while to give it time build up exposure. If the hunt is evolving then we'll just need to step it up =) Time to get cracking, people! What are we missing? There was a technical aspect to how that puzzle was presumably finalized that made it much easier/faster to crack than if it was just approached head-on. If the coming steps aren't already packaged up then maybe this is the time to share the vulnerability so it doesn't happen again, unless that's already a known issue and taken into consideration. Muscat? When someone posted a reply from Phil that he didn't have any of the hunt answers, I had assumed it was being run by an outside party and it was designed to be a black box to the rest of the world. Now that we have a peek behind the curtain at the invisible hand that's running this thing (Thanks, Muscat!), it kind of takes some of the fun away (I'll get over that), but I'd be remiss not to take the resulting opportunity to ask: 1) Is there a set end/goal/prize to this thing? 2) Can it have something to do with blasting off to the in-game moon? That thing taunts me every time I go to the next level, hanging there in the background like some unreachable fruit.
Thanks for the post Muscat. What you say makes sense, so I'll be patient. I'm loving the game and side game. I even bought a character to throw you a dollar. I'll probably buy another, too, since I play it every day.
Heyyy the Halloween update is here ! So exciting ! Here are some screenshots. There are 5 new characters, that we can unlock like the old ones (paying or by collecting coins to buy boxes) + a vampire but for this one we have to find 50 lanterns to unlock it !
Guys what is this, new puzzle. When you stand on one pad a dot lights up and the other pad lights the other dot up
You need to lure an enemy on to one side while you stand on the other. The reward is a small bounty of items to increase your score
So assuming every character including the new Halloween ones have gold versions there 112 characters in the game
Yes but this was posted before the update was out. And as we still have no idea what to do with those images, i think anything suspicious is relevant and we should keep it in mind.
Halloween update! Heck yeah. So glad this game took off. Just got pumpkin head boy! He collects candy haha. So I never got addicted to the game but now I find myself playing it constantly, Few questions: Other than lead monsters knot cactus. How can you kill other monsters? I know some puzzles and quests require it. Also: do y'all find it easier playing in portrait mode or landscape? 4/50 lanterns so far! Also preferred controls for optimal high score? Reverse or standard controls? Slide char or world? ( I think that's an option ) Got a high score of 140 so far keep running into pointy objects. I LOVE the Halloween theme. They really added a lot for this holiday, what wonderful devs. You have spiderwebs , bats, pumpkins, coffins, skeletons, spooky trees and GIANT ghosts that chase you. It's amazing.
You can lead a monster off the edge of a cliff, or lead them into water (or lava). You can also lead a bull to run them over and get extra loot. You can also stand on a grave to wake the dead and then lead the ghost over the monsters. The cloud spiders blasts will also kill monsters but you can't control them very well. I play in portrait mode on my iPad. It's easier for me to control that way.
The black bear will kill the brown bears and i think also the pogosaurs, they don't die when run into the cactus turtles. The bulls will kill brown bears, cactus turtles, and pogosaurs (I'm not sure about black bears). The Ghost that comes up if you "wake the dead" can kill everything but black bears. The spiders can kill everything but black bears. There this sacrificial triad thing that can kill monsters if you lead them to the center with the skull and crossbones. Of course the hot sauce can kill anything. And finally.. running things into water and off cliffs is a good way of killing things. Re: portrait or landscape... they're both about the same to me, but some people think landscape is easier. The ghosts were always there so you'll have those to look forward to even when they take the halloween themes away
