Hi all! Like this game and puzzle! We have now a lot of pictures with a very few connections. But they all have exactly the same pattern for the first part. And images released now so frequent, so I think that this is a bold hint to take a closer look to the pattern itself. For example, could it be a pattern for the Life game? Or maybe we should pay attention only to isolated dots (because of one '.' in every image tweet)?
Putting a period before each tweet allows everyone to see the tweet (not only the account's followers). I'm not sure it has relevance to the puzzle... Though you never know.
Developers talking in this podcast, say there's months ahead to this puzzle http://www.esn.fm/unconsoleable/56
that is a water slide you can see the slides in the center. new mode in land sliders maybe water sliders lol? or maybe they are adding water slides... so here is another question i have, randomly on the levels is a hatch on the ground and the door is shut, it looks like the hatch right out of lost as far as the design goes, does this open some how ? cause it cant be just thrown in there at random... I think there is something to this, like if you solve the puzzle it opens the hatch when you find it? perhaps leading to another puzzle or a character who hits a button before the timer hits 0 LOL... also the Icon for Land Sliders is a clue this game is more, cause why does X mark the spot...
I hope it's not because there are months of redacted and apparently redundant images. Off to the podcast to find out!
When this part of the puzzle is solved, I hope the solution will prove to be something we could have solved all along, not something that requires all the photos in their entirety. If we are just being strung along for days and maybe weeks waiting for our crumb a day without a chance of solving it, then that is going to make me lose interest fast. I am enjoying the game, and I really really hope we are just missing something.
A solution in MonoDevelop is similar to a project. So a suite of code files that make up a solution. (i.e. a game)
I hear you. I'm hoping they're only feeding us more data, on clues they've given us previously, if we're just not catching on. I think that might be the case since we never got more clues on the cat enthusiast, once we figured out who she is from the first photo.
I don't really like to jump in and comment about the game within the game, but I'll say a couple of things here because I like to be transparent. Basically, I have made the puzzles a bunch harder now because you were all solving it so darn fast! This community can solve puzzles way faster than I can build them, so I stepped the difficulty up a whole bunch. In the case of the "what happened" website puzzle, I had figured that might take at least a week or two to solve, but it got cracked in about 3 hours.... it took me 5 hours to design and build the thing! If the puzzles get TOO hard, I can start to drip feed out additional clues if need be. The problem when the puzzles are too easy is we quickly run out of content and most people end up missing out on the fun. I get it though, it's pretty satisfying when you get to smash through a bunch of clues super fast. With regards to this puzzle, the additional information was designed to make it easier. You COULD solve the puzzle with the info you have now, but its going to be pretty dang hard We have a whole bunch of other cool fun idea's we want to explore with this thing, so occasionally there will be parts that are time boxed in some form. This just gives us time to organise things, because in the end, we really want you all to have a great time with this puzzle! I typically run all of this stuff in my spare time, outside of work hours because it's a lot of fun to make as well. We have some particular neat steps coming up which I think are going to be a lot of fun and totally unique, so we hope you keep enjoying what we are doing. Thanks everyone. You are all way way way better at this than I expected <3
I think what we're supposed to focus on is not actually the cat enthousiast character but the fact that now we can see that this player has 106/107 characters unlocked !
I don't think the release of images has anything to do with whether we "got" the preceding image(s) from the same set. We basically had all the code worked out for the MonoDevelop screenshot, yet they kept coming. I also don't think we can expect that they're tailoring the hunt based on what a few people are saying on one forum at one website. The hunt should be universally accessible.
