some minor things that have become annoying when you have to keep retrying a level: the flashing alarm thing. as far as I can tell it does nothing but play the alarm sound and flash red. i can turn off the sound but the flashing hurts my eyes also why does the 2x button take a few seconds to "reload"?
Probably just to give you time to get away from it so you don't instantly spawn 6 balls by mistake. The alarm is sort of supposed to be annoying to raise the tension, but if it actually hurts your eyes then... I dunno what to suggest.
I really want to try this game, but I was hoping for a little Illusion Labs Holiday Sale love on Labyrinth 2 (or any of their games for that matter).
Good luck! Edit: you've got a website? I'd have thought it was your duty to grab a title like this as soon as possible, no matter what
I was waiting for a Holiday sale but, mabye Illusionlabs needs money for X-Mas so I donated $5 to them. lol It's very fun and the graphics are top notch. Buy it
there was no sale on Touchgrind actually if I remember right $4.99 was a supposed "introductory sale" but the price never went up nor did it drop
yes they don't sales their games..usually never However i got a little question to Anders..Who is Christoffer Lindvall? I read somewhere that he is part of the team, but he doesn't appear in the team section of your site..is he a collaborator?
No sale planned, we don't like to screw the customers who have bought it, especially not so close to the release. Perhaps in 6 months. We are working on a Lite version, but if you want a sneak peak, download Labyrinth 1 Lite, it's free and contains a sample of L2 (not really a demo as most features are missing, the old UI is still there etc). That's our 3D graphics dude, he's a friend. We don't have a good picture of him, that's why he isn't on the team page
We initially planned on selling it for $9.99 or something like that. Everything was new at the time, and we didn't really know how to price it. After a while we found that $4.99 is a sweet spot for us smaller devs, so we never increased the price but kept it at $4.99.
Yes, they are annoying. The should be used sparsely. I always rate levels low that use too many warning lights. I think they are useful for instance if you have a door closing slowly and you want to make the player a little stressed.
We are five (me, Jim, Andreas, Carl, Marcus), the rest are hired guns. Somewhat old pictures: http://www.illusionlabs.se/team.html
The flashing red lights sometimes makes me lose track of the ball. There are few times where I had to spend a second or two figuring out where the darn thing went after I tripped the alarm.
Yeah there was a level i played yesterday in wich there was a lot of cannon balls (not the deadly one) and that damn red light..it make the game looks better but is annoying sometimes
