listen illusion labs! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not put the ability to skip a level in the game! there would be no incentive to continue if i knew i could just skip over a hard level. the point is to try to beat those hard levels... not skip them... i just know that if you do put it in there, then i would end up skipping a whole lot of levels because i get frustrated with the levels... but thats what makes it fun
Shouldn't I be allowed to decide how much practicing I want to do in my free time? You didn't really just compare a $5 solo game to a multimillion dollar team game played before billions of people? Tell me you can understand that one is just for one person's entertainment and one has slightly higher stakes. I don't do that, but it someone else decides that that's what they spend their money on, why do you care? How does it harm you if someone else's pleasure comes from following a walk-through rather then working out the puzzles? Does everyone have to have fun the same way you do? Michael
Fwiw, there is an 'exploit' that can be used on the Enigma levels. I beat the designer times as well. Not posting it for now. Anders, let me know if you want the exploit posted.
Yeah, I beat all the levels that way too. It never even occurred to me to play them the "right" way when I figured it out. Changing the subject, does anybody ever have some accelerometer lag? I'm not sure what causes it, but sometimes I have to restart the game (and/or recalibrate in settings) to fix it. Basically, tilting doesn't register for an extra half-second or so (which, as you might imagine, makes many levels impossible to beat).
If you don't care enough about the game to spend time playing it, why are you even complaining? No, I didn't compare the games themselves. I compared the feeling of achievement, dedication and incentive, the core philosophy behind all games. I don't particularly care in those circumstances, though I would make fun of the people who bought them. In this case though, opening up the game for you would ruin it for me, so I care.
Someone on the other topic mentioned it, I think they're on a 3GS as well. It's been fine on my Touch 2G. On another note: I just completed the "Hooked on Classics" pack, totally stoked It didn't take half as long as expected, I actually did about three of the levels first time, but I was moving that ball soooo slowly and by the end my hands were practically dripping with sweat. The only dev time I beat was on the last level cause one of the gaps was big enough for a shortcut
Are you being funny, or are you being dense? I care enough to play as long as it remains entertaining. I am not making a long term commitment, nor am I promising to put in the time and energy to become the great Labyrinther ever. I just want to have fun. I want to play a level until I finish it or until I am not enjoying it any more, and then I want to move on to the next one. I'm sorry if that concept is too complicated for you. And, as I believe I have made my point (that I would like the ability to skip individual levels in a level pack as it would increase my enjoyment of the game) and you have made yours (that having that ability would lesson your enjoyment of the game, because you would stop working to complete the hard levels), I will now bow out of this part of the discussion, because frankly, I think you are getting a bit silly. Regards, Michael
Quick question about user created levels...can you still get achievements from them? Because thats how some people got the Bumper hits so quickly...just saying.
Yeah, finished off the last 4 hard packs about an hour ago Hooked on Classics was the only one that really felt tough, even though I performed surprisingly well. It's inspired my next retro level... working on it now.
I cheated the bumper hits, I just wanted to be the first person But I didn't do it on a user level, I did it on the very first tutorial with bumpers. Get the ball stuck between the wall and a bumper = success.
Is that achievement the hit a bumper 2000 times? lol I got that before I even realized that the game even had achievemens
Yeah that's the one. I'm ashamed to say I didn't need to cheat on the "Fall into a hole 2000 times" achievement...
I got that a few days ago...it was on that one level where if you tilt you idevice the right way the ball will get stuck in three bumpers...you'll hit them so fast, and the sound will stop. its pretty funny xD And thats also how i got play for 2 hours...but it only took my about 15 minutes with that trick. i'll try to find the level pack that it was from...
