I've said this before, but here goes; I love both Touchgrind and Sway. I never bought Labyrinth! I played a few other games with similar design early on from the AppStore and wasn't impressed, in fact, I found them to be a chore to play. Any input from those who didn't expect to like this but bought it anyway?
This is the only app on the store I am 100% comfident will not have a sale because: 1. IL never put their games on sale cleverly; 2. It can ride the success of the past Labyrinth.
Labyrinth 2 just came out yesterday, I honestly doubt it will go on sale soon. Heck, probably in maybe a year from now at the earliest.
It's mainly a precision game, secondly a puzzle game. The physics/sensitivity is spot on to the real thing, and it wouldn't be the same thing if it was 50% less sensitive, it would then be similar to say Super Monkey Ball 2 (another great game, just completely different). But we'll discuss making it more accessible, promise. Thank you very much for your honest opinion. Come to think of it, all of our games are pretty hard and have a somewhat steep learning curve (Touchgrind and Sway, ok not iPint hehe).
IL sets their prices and lets them be, you do not see sales from these guys, nor do you often or really see promo code giveaways either. sway still remains at it's original price and it's been out for how long?
If it's too expensive, why not just wait. It's not a fair question to ask as the dev might not know. It all depends on how the game sells and of course the discretion of the dev for lowering the price. If you want to enjoy the game today, the price is 4.99 tomorrow ,next week, next month...who knows?
What I do is rest both of my hands on the desk, you never need to move it so much that you're required to lift your hands. Do all the movement with your fingers and that way you're kind of anchoring the iPhone down and it gives you much more control than holding it freely.
search appshopper for the illusion labs games.... no price drops.... it's not gonna happen. if they didn't drop the price of l1 to promote l2 it's even further proof, it's not gonna happen. the only game that has gotten a sale is l1 and that was a long time ago. all IL games are console worthy games and should even cost more than they do. *it's not directed at your cranker but I wanted to add on*
We would NEVER do that. You can ask anyone around here about our track record, and I've mentioned it many times before. We have many fans because we don't play the roller coaster price game and just drop the price after a short while. Many hates us for it too, of course We have only dropped the price of L1 to accommodate for it's age (as you can see here: http://appshopper.com/games/labyrinth). I'm a consumer as well, and every time someone drop the price a week after release, I feel ripped off. I couldn't care less about the money itself, it's usually just a couple of dollars, but still, it annoys the hell out of me that they don't really care about their customers. Edit: man you guys are so fast to reply!
It's a bit different from TG and Sway, but it's just as rewarding. Download Labyrinth 1 Lite and try the L2 levels, it's free and gives just a little sample of L2. If you like it, there is plenty more in store for ya (no pun intended). What's with all the numbers by the way?
very true, Sway and Touchgrind have never been on sale and are more than worth their everlasting price
rich I think this would be right up your alley... the create a level brings constant challenges the graphics are fantastic the sounds are great the achievements are addicting the ghost ball makes it like a racing game i could go on an on, however L2 is at the top of the best iphone games to date.
