Those aren't considered app notifications (which pop up while you're outside the app). Those Game Centre ones are more like 'Achievement unlocked!' ones. That said, the constant popping up of all of the achievements is a noted bug and the devs have said they were going to fix it, IIRC.
In journey you travel around a map and do quests and in arena you train in the same place with progressively stronger monsters until you're strong enough to beat enough opponents in a row to best the arena.
By popular request, here is the video of my successful End Boss Kill ! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHc8F52_kN0 And this was done using my ultimate farming lineup that everyone claimed couldn't beat this with! See my previous vids for farming demonstration. Oh p.s. TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN after I beat the boss because I nerd-scream like little girl.
I have read up a bit about what you did with the maze boss, and it looks like it's hopeless for me. Can't really beat it with my setup, nor I do want to grind levels forever. My final score: all quests but the maze boss, 3 lvl 37s characters (paladin tank, cleric healer, mage dps), no shop or cauldron as my cell crashes on those lol.
So... Last night I was playing from 10pm until 3:30am, woke up feeling awful, called in sick to work, and I am just loving this game
Question time! If I'm on a quest to gather 10 ectoplasm items, can I like gather 20 by disabling the quest and reaccepting... or some other way? They are really useful items.
this is one of the funniest posts i've ever read. you can actually gather as many quest-items you want to, you're free to do so. if you feel that the items are good enough to you, you may farm like 10 more, 20, 50 more, up to you. whenever you deliver the quest it'll just substract the amount needed for the quest.
also, there's a period of time where you can equip the quest items and still get credit for them: after you've collected the required amount of items, but before you turn the quest in. probably a bug, but oh well. collect 10 ectoplasms, then equip the ones you want to equip, then turn the quest in. it will let you keep the equipped ones. if you equip them before you get 10, it won't let you turn the quest in.
Or just equip them as you collect them (just means you will have to collect an additional amount) Ie. I collected 4 for each player, equipping them after each fight until I had all equipped, then collected 10 more for quest and I was good.
