SPOILERS: Are you guys sure you're talking about Spoiler Mom? No disrespect, but there's no way you found her easy.
lol. i guess i should have been more specific (although i DID say she hits for 450. it should have been obvious i wasnt talking about the dark mage). anyway, has anyone here beat the boss at the Chromatic Maze?
A hero with high threat is more likely to be attacked by an enemy, so you basically want a tough champion (tank) to have a high threat level instead of a squishy one. The higher your iniative, the more likely you will be able to act first in combat.
to be more precise - threat is the chance that you will be attacked. you divide the character's threat by the party's total threat. that will give you the likelihood that your character will be attacked.
I started over w/ a paladin. It's a slower leveling process. But, I think he gives me the best opportunity to take out the final boss. I'm not sure how close I can get his threat to 100%, but I'm hoping I can get pretty close. Anyone know exactly how his leadership strike affects threat? it seems like subsequent levels only increase damage (not threat). And the description says it increases threat to 40 (4%). Should I take that to mean that it increases it by 4%? I'm running paladin, bard, hunter, mage, rogue. I thought pretty hard about changing out my rogue for another mage. I chose not to. However, if fireballs can stack, I think it might make a better group. My plan is to hook my paladin up w/ enough MP/HP Regen that he can basically cast flash heals over and over. It shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully that, paired with a shield and the bard, can keep him up. has anyone experimented with the necromancer/shaman? I was completely underwhelmed by their skills and haven't had the motivation to do so, yet.
wtf is wrong with people i come here to look and post for bugs, not so people can post spoilers and ruin the game. if you want to have intimate discussions make a SPOILER thread.
===SPOILER=======SPOILER===SPOILER=======SPOILER===SPOILER=======SPOILER=== IMO the best shot you have is to equip everyone with 4x Four Rings. Doesn't matter what level you are as long as above 30. I don't have the patience to farm that much money though, and you also need the merchant to be lvl 15 to be able to buy Four Rings. ===SPOILER=======SPOILER===SPOILER=======SPOILER===SPOILER=======SPOILER===
Rofl at anyone saying final boss being easy. I will always remember getting 1-shotted by that "beast" with cleric standing there alone with pants down and me furiously clicking on the chicken button. I disagree with Four Rings being needed. Might as well say let's farm for 5x 4x Four Rings just to beat final boss (in fact I'm not even sure if that's the final final boss, I also remembered being really REALLY happy at defeating 5 dragons just to get 1-shotted... way to kill the mood game dev haha). Also, what's the point of having regen when you can get 1-shotted? Like AJohnson said, I think the best way is to have tons and tons of health.
My bad, I totally forgot it also gives hp and mp. On another note, I found the one ring all the way to four rings funny.
POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING (sorry!) How does one unlock new characters? Besides the one where you can play as the game developers. I mean the bard, necromancer etc.
Come on, guys - use the SPOILER tag, like this: Spoiler I hate spoilers which is [_spoiler_]Insert spoiler here[/_spoiler_] without the underscores ( _ )
Problem with that approach is that the boss has so much HP and can maintain high DPS that a huge HP pool won't sustain you until the end of the battle. Basically, I've come to believe that you need to actually sustain the fight, not win a DPS race.
Btw, the Knight's Combat Skill lifesteal and Dragon's Blood lifesteal doesn't stack. You would just end up doing a lifesteal of the Combat Skill. Which makes me a sad fox... .
