I've just finished it and I feel the same. Loved the first one to bits And while I've enjoyed this and don't regret buying it for a second it just felt a bit incomplete compared to number 1. Gear wise I think I only bought one sword for each character throughout the entire game and I'd no interest in the crafting element.... People keep mentioning there'll be more content coming so I'm keeping it on my device but colour me just ever so slightly disappointed with this one.
Yeah, I ended up two-manning it with Cleric up to the last two fights. I was over level 30 at the end.
I own the first game but have not played it yet as I acquired it for free a while ago. Is it worth playing through that before playing this one? Will it make this more enjoyable? Thanks in advance.
The magazine aspect gives me a feeling there will be regular content updates... Let's see what happens

Has anyone managed to find any extra crafting recipes through experimenting? I'm beginning to believe there are none, having wasted many hundreds of gold attempting many many combos.
Strange thing is, when you attempt to craft with an invalid mix of items, you pay the fee, then you see an animation of an invalid recipe, however, if you follow the games generic recipe example (weapon+charm+scroll) it takes the fee, but displays no crafting animation whatsoever. Almost like something was supposed to happen, but the content wasn't fully implemented, or omitted.
It's a bit wonky.. But anything that's off-color can't be enchanted. Anything enchanted with + sign can't be enchanted.. Trying will be futile abd waste of money.. How to tell if enchantment will work.. You will see the icon after the equal sign..
To be honest, I feel like this is obviously an unfinished product released early. They were going to release on Steam on PC on the same day too but was cancelled and instead moved to November for its new release date. I think there are definitely new contents coming, but it's just really bad marketting for them to give us an incomplete product and dilute our first-play experience.
If that's the case then there doesn't seem to be any other enchants. I can't even find that one that is shown in the screenshots for the app, the glove one. What is that red thing? A bag, a top? Is that the recipe you get from the location above the big town, something about keeping your hands warm? I couldn't figure out which recipe actually showed up after finding that one. Going to screenshot the list before finding it on this run through
I got my money out of it through two playthroughs (just to dabble with the different classes) and what's there seems decent but there just isn't enough. Items and crafting are mostly useless which is disappointing. You don't really need to touch either to breeze through the game, unless you run with a very small party. Unless more campaign content is coming, I don't see the magazine bringing me back with the promise of a new class or some items.
Yeah. I will have deleted and forgotten about this game 2 weeks from now, let alone when new content is released. Do developers just do this because they feel pressured to release by a certain date or what? The promise of new content isn't enough to keep people playing. The existing bones have to be strong enough to keep people interested until such a time as new content is made available. Just wait and release a better product. Sadly, I'll probably remember this more-expensive, less-developed iteration than the original...which suckered me in.
So it seems that the two recipes that you find via investigation do not actually show up in the recipe list, they are however the ones you see in the screenshots here, so we can still "discover" them. One at least. Disappointing
Right. The point is that they won't be getting more of it, though. I thought that was obvious. How can people pay for new content that the developers sink time and effort into when no one is still playing the game by the time the new content is released? Moreover, the brand is damaged. Seems like bad planning...unless they never put resources into new content or new games (under the existing brand). In that case it's very effective.
