Gwarmaxx Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2010 4,446 376 83 NCC 1701 #4 Gwarmaxx, Dec 13, 2019 more or less, yeah it does. gmattergames Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 607 42 28 #5 gmattergames, Dec 17, 2019 Has potential but campaign is so story driven, feels like it’s on rails with to much dialogue. Some may like this aspect but for me, I prefer a bit more open feel. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #6 stubbieoz, Jan 21, 2020 Last edited: Jan 21, 2020 I have no idea what the freemium flaws are?? The only purchase item are gems, but after 10 hours of playing I have only seen them needed to change your mercenaries name if you want to. Oh, I almost forgot. Yes, you can hire mercenaries with gems, but you also can use coins and those mercenaries have been fine so far. I’ve probably missed something but I haven’t had to buy anything at all. Maybe eventually you will need to use gems to try for a better chance of a really exceptional mercenary. But I hope with good gameplay and using the marriage/offspring system, that will be enough (and probably add to the enjoyment of the game) to give you the really good characters anyways. There is no energy system so you can play as much as you want in one sitting. I’m really starting to get into the game. Might even make a new account and start all over now I understand things a bit better. This is a damn fine tactical turn based rpg. The story is okay, nothing outstanding but it is enough to keep your interest, the combat is easy at the start but when you get close to acquiring a castle the combat difficulty ramps up nicely. There is an ageing aspect with your characters. You end up getting married and have offspring and then they appear to be the next generation of fighters. There is some real depth to the game. You are somewhat on rails, especially early on in the campaign, but as the game progresses you can get heaps of side quests to complete. You can have the same account on more than one device so continuing your game from, lets say, an iPad to iPhone is flawless. Don’t think that this is your normal free to play offering. It is definitely not..... well so far that is. Stuff like that, where I have to do some metagaming instead of just playing the game. stubbieoz Well-Known Member Jun 23, 2015 1,880 358 83 Male Grey haired gamer NSW Australia #8 stubbieoz, Jan 21, 2020 Oh okay, and I agree. I dislike a game once you have to join with others just to continue playing. That was one of the reasons I stopped playing Traitors Empire myself. That and the need to purchase stuff to continue became overwhelming. Also I have had my time with mmorpg’s, mainly it was guild wars that burnt me out after some couple of thousand hours of playing. So far I see none of that, though I could see it becoming a possibility. I couldn’t find anything on the net to confirm though. If I do then I will post here, and probably will promptly stop playing. Up to this point with my time in the game it has been fully single player. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
