You're in for a treat when you see Kingturn running. It's absolutely charming with beautiful sprites and incredibly well drawn gear and environments. I bought Knighturn as well to compare the two and Knighturn plays well though the graphics are basic. I can't wait for you to see how far this game has come since Knighturn. It looks so beautiful now with awesome gameplay and narrative to boot.
Kingturn promo codes Thanks a lot for the great feedback so far. For those who don't want to wait any longer, I have a few promo codes for Kingturn RPG to offer. They can be used to play Kingturn RPG right away before the official release on Friday (IAP for the full version cannot be circumvented with a promo code, unfortunately, but the IAP is working already). These promo codes are mainly meant for our loyal customers, so here's a small trivia to make sure the codes get into the right hands . If you can answer one of the following questions, just post the correct answer here. The first one with a correct answer gets a promo code. Please answer only one of the questions. (In other words, five questions and five promo codes for five different persons) 1) Which of the following weapon types is NOT supported in our games: Sword, Spear, Axe, Staff, Bow (Answered by mekanikal fiend) 2) What's the name of the Grimlog Shaman joining the player's party in all of our games: Baal, Hyronimus, Laharl, Utakah, Franziskus, The Witcher (Answered by Sheinfell) 3) One of the following things is NOT supported in our games. Which one: Barracks, treasure chests, palisades, trap doors, amulets, rings (Answered by TrexlerRanger) 4) One of the following classes can NOT be found in any of our games. Which one: Paladin, Archer, Knight, Warrior, Amazon, Mage, Monk, Wolf Rider (Answered by Enriana) 5) Which of the following skills is NOT supported in our games: Spin Attack, Poison Arrow, Reach out, Purse Strike, Charge, Heal, Aimed Shot (Answered by Isilel)
This is actually my first time encountering your games, so I can't say I'm a loyal customer - yet. I did have to do some "research" to find the answer, but it should be Monk. The game looks right up my alley, definitely keeping an eye on it. Undeadcow has succeeded in getting at least one new person amped up about your game.
Actually that's not a bad guess. In Knighturn Amazons show up only in 1 scenario, if I remember correctly. But Sw&Ear has plenty of them. So ... no, Amazons is not the correct answer . But thanks for your research, and it's just a few days until Friday .
Haha yes, it only occurred to me afterwards to check all of your titles. Amazons are badasses, so it's good they got some love in your game. I did find the right answer afterwards; do you want me to edit it out of my post so people still have a shot at the question? I'll definitely be grabbing the title on Friday!
Playing through Knighturn right now, may have spent the whole weekend doing it, I'm not sure. Gonna answer this one. 3) One of the following things is NOT supported in our games. Which one: Barracks, treasure chests, palisades, trap doors, amulets, rings Pretty sure the answer is Trap Doors. Really enjoying Knighturn and very interested to see what you've done with Kingturn. Best of luck with this game and your others.
Nah, it's okay. I'll let that count. You've been posting your correction almost at the same time as I've replied. So I just assume now, that you haven't been cheating and that you've posted your correction (from Amazon to Monk) before my reply Monk is the right answer. I'll send you a promo code.
Oh awesome, thanks. And nope, I didn't see your post beforehand - I only thought to check out your other titles after hitting submit. That's very kind of you, looking forward to diving in to the game.
I can't wait to see what some more people think of the game. I've been playing for the last couple of days from a promo code the dev kindly supplied and I can say with confidence that this definately the best game that's released this year on IOS. If you like SRPG it should be a no brainer. Can't wait to see what other people think of the completely gorgeous art in the game. The production values have gone up tenfold compared to the earlier games. This is history in the making people. This game is a future classic !
Now that's quite a bold guess . 'Reach out' is pretty much the first skill available in all of our games. But I like your profile, and I have one extra promo code to spare ...
Thx for your generosity Niebau. This is the best I've ever felt after being incorrect lol. Will gladly post impressions in the next few days. Best of luck with the release I can already tell its gonna be a huge success though!
played the first level, then exited promptly to unlock the full game loved sw&ear and knightturn, the classic gameplay is still great, but now the visuals are all shiny and new, hopefully you sell a ton, and then release the other remakes on IOS. thanks so much for the early preview, was dreading waiting till Wednesday night..
Ok I was lucky enough to get a promo code a couple of days ago. I played the prologue and then raved on here about how awesome this game was. Well over the last couple of days I have had a chance to start the main game and have currently beaten 4 scenarios. What ? Only 4 ? I can hear you exclaim ! Well it's not like I haven't put the time in. I don't claim to be awesome at strategy games. I've been playing on default difficulty and its taken me several attempts to get through each scenario. Every attempt has been great fun and extremely different from the last as I've tried out different strategies and eventually won the level. This game is beyond awesome. If you don't like a challenge then you can turn down the difficulty. If you do like a challenge you are in for a treat. I personally want to struggle for success because the feeling of achievement is so much the greater. These hard won battles have enabled me to really get to know my team and their capabilities. The battles have all been tense and challenging and you can win loot or retrieve it from the level.... If you're good enough ! The sharp witty dialogue inbetween levels and the beautifully drawn characters, environments and gear further drag you in to total immersion with this epic saga. Admittedly I haven't got deep into the story but you can tell from the writing so far that its going to be good. The story has started to branch with optional side quests that can add characters to your team and extra loot. I say they are optional as you could gallop off at the main plotline if you wanted. Personally I don't want to miss anything the game has to offer. I dare not crank the difficulty up ! I would say that hardened strategy players will though. When you first fire up this and see the simple title screen you will be underwhelmed. When you begin to play you realise that everything is wonderfully drawn in this game. The controls are bob on and the writing is witty and engaging without being over the top like some games. The characters are already hinting at their motivations and failings and I can't wait to see where the story goes. If you read this and you think I'm ranting like a mad man about this game, you're right ! All I say is wait till release night then try it and then come back here and tell me I'm wrong ! Edit : just checked and this game has 67 scenarios ! I shall be occupied for months ! This should save me some money in the long run as I will be playing this instead of impulse buying a gazillion other half-baked titles lol
I started Kingturn with impossibly high expectations and it's managed to rock me. Easily the best game to come out in some time, and essential at $4.99. Kingturn is a first class SRPG with a lot of depth and challenge (I turned the adjustable difficulty up). The levels are well designed forcing tactical decisions in hopes of ending heated standoffs; for example, you can protect support companions or use them for "divide and conquer" enemy bait. Speaking of enemies the artificial intelligence is well done; evidence includes the pesky ranged enemy sniper camping behind a barrier weakening my warriors exiting my base or when I push resources to the front lines for an all or nothing assault a lone vile red foot soldier inches towards my camp. The "capture the flag" style fort component remains intense (there are side bases that add to how many units can be on the screen, enemies want it but so will you and they're often in vulnerable locations). The resource development, inventory management camp component is well flushed out. Funds are reasonable but limited forcing players to individualize their squad within the resources avaliable (acquire armor for tanks, boost ranged attack power, train mages, any combination or above, etc etc). Unit variety is good with Summoners who can call monsters, high hit point knights, a variety of ranged units each with unique attributes, healing units with high mp cost but worth it offensive capacity, etc etc. Agreed, Kingturn is amazing.
