Kingdom Rush is not a fremium game where you need to spend extra money to advance or skip waiting times. There are purchasable consumables and heroes but there is no need at all for any player to buy them to complete the campaign and challenges. The game was completely balanced without consumables or paid heroes. If you feel it too hard, you can always lower the difficulty level. If you have any doubt just let me know. And if you buy the game and don't like it, I can help you on getting a refund You should be able to play the whole game on 4th and 5th gen iPod touch. If you encounter any trouble please let us know About iCloud, the game doesn't support it yet but we will add it in a future update. We also plan on doing hero sales in the future as we did with Kingdom Rush. So if there is a hero you'd love to have but find is too pricy, stay tuned to any of our channels or this topic
Thanks. Ironhide games actually sent me a PM and told me what to do and even said they'd help if a refund wasn't given. Pretty awesome of them.
Without diving into spoilers, I too saw the comic ending after finishing the game (without using any gems or IAP heroes). Just a tip... If you want watch the extra "cliffhanger" ending, just make sure you don't skip the credits. Otherwise, the only ending you will see is the normal ending that just wraps up the story but does little else. Overall, this is a FAR FAR more difficult game than KR1, particularly if you are aiming to get 20/20 endings for all levels (that is, no loss of lives). The reinforcements and rains of fire were key to surviving many levels, much more so than KR1. PS: Anyone able to figure out how to "consistently" detect those cloaking enemies? So many times I had to replay a level because one slipped through. Tried a bunch of towers, but nothing works consistently to get them to reveal themselves.
Crossing the Line Huge fan of the first game. I played it both on my iphone and ipad But i'm not liking where this is going... iphone version 2.99 ipad version 5.99 additional heroes 6 total - 25.94 (51.88 if i want it to play on both device?) I know the heroes are not needed to finish the game, but would be nice to play them all since i enjoy the game so much Yes i can wait for sale, but i waited 1 year for Frontier already. So i need to wait again? I'm glad i can get a refund if i wanted one, but is this your attitude/answer toward your fans? I bought your other so-so game just to support you guys.
I agree, that's why I keep asking/ suggesting that ironhide update the HD version to become universal.
its often how it goes. starts out indie and dedicated, then gets a taste of the gold and gets greedy.
There are plenty of people that play on iphones and ipods, and that's fine. But what I really don't get is why they had to make a separate version at this point. It's kind of a given now that any major app is universal, so it sucks when you just blindly download an app without checking for an HD version, like I did... I'm not too worried about it though, I'm just going to get a refund when apple sends out my next bill. It is annoying though. I agree with the rest of your points though. Really enjoying it so far, are there more map-specific interactive features like the giant sand worm that eats everything in its radius and makes you move your guys out of the way? I thought that was really cool. Also loved the little star-wars style snipers in an earlier desert level. It's those little touches that make me keep playing.
The first game was my favorite tower defense to date and was able to complete the game before it went free and implemented IAPs. So I never went back after that update. I'm sure I'll pick this one up when it goes on sale, but I don't support the idea any IAP in games. It's ruining the experience for me and is poisen to whole idea of what gaming is about. I would pay a few extra dollars for a game w/out IAP. So for now I'll vote with my wallet and not bite. I miss the days where you had to actually work at a game and unlock things within.
There is absolutely nothing preventing you from completely ignoring the IAPs... There are still two extra heroes to unlock, all the levels, and all the upgrades to your towers and abilities (which can't be bought).
Yes, I know they have tried to do IAP the best way possible, but just the whole idea of IAPs leaves a bad taste with me. Like I said I'm sure I'll eventually bite, but not at the moment. Unfortunately as long as people continue to buy IAPs devs will have no reason to go away from the current model.
truly love this game with all my heart(the first one). but how bout this one? first, i dont mind buying both version since i now that it need some extra work to make the hd version but whats bothered me is the hero and all IAP. yes i clearly know that the hero is not needed to complete all levels but the experience will be different since we know that the hero is there but we can't use it without buying it. so whats the point in paying 2.99/5.99 upfront for a game that doesnt feel complete? the hero , wether you like it or not are the element of this game. so without it, the experience of this game will not be complete. that's just my 2 cents. i know you guys still make a sale somewhere else but if you keep adapting this kind of strategy for your future games, then im really sorry this gonna be my last purchase. ps. i press the buy button (both hd and sd without looking at the price tag), just to excited when i first read that this game has been release. so yes, im a die hard fans of KR(also an old fieldrunners retired) .
