It lets down a lot of players, including myself knowing that I won't be able to have the complete set of heroes in the game because of the prices. However I understand that they need to do this in order to make money. Allowing us to unlock content with crystals will never be a good route for them. I doubt that they make money off selling crystals since you get roughtly 200+ crystals per round, they're not cheap on the crystal yields, players won't have any impulse to buy them unless their motives are to support the developer. If you're fine with grinding then that's okay for you, but a grind fest will be a huge turn off for many players. I think $2.99 price in the app store just doesn't cut it anymore. They need to make more than that to survive and strive towards making more games and new content. During the current sale I only bought Pirate Hero and in the previous Kingdom Rush I only bought the Dwarf shooter. My number one rule for any purchase of IAP is that it must be a new content and not be a one time consumable. There's also a limit of how much money I'm willing to spend on IAP at a time. I see the premium heroes as a way to support the developer instead of just buying the game. What I hope for Ironhide Studio in regards to the Kingdom Rush franchise is that they do more frequent sales of heroes or even better have the heroes be sold in pairs or bundles for a cheaper price, till then I will be willing to spend even more money to purchase the premium heroes but for now 99 cent ones will be good enough for me.
When does the heroes sales end? I wanted to know whether to wait for the announcement of the promo code giveaway or buy the game now, since I can save even more money on the heroes sales?
