+1 I am also really impressed by all the extra or little details in this game. Even though I beat the game (without needing iap heroes), I still enjoy replaying levels at harder difficulties or trying to do better on the challenges. It's one those games, I just keep coming back to.
I agree that they are, but not required. I've been running through the normal campaign, 5 starring levels before moving to the next. Used Alric until his stats got maxed out, then switched to Cronan. I'm currently at 68/75 stars and Cronan hasn't let me down yet.
First of all I really like the game and I am still playing with the first free hero. I'm looking forward to try the other two. But I don't think saying "it costs less than a burger" or something like that is the right thing. Sure, it's only a few dollars but its no burger, it's an iOS game. And for that the heroes are expansive. I could buy 20 other games for that money. There is still a ton of content and I will be playing this for a long time like I did with the first game, but I probably will never see all of the heroes in action. But that's a decision the developers made and I'm ok with it. It's just a little sad.
Then do just that and shut up. I bought a hero. I might buy another one, even though I've already finished all the content, just for something different working through on Veteran level. Who's "votes" do you think the developer cares more about? Those from people who help them pay the bills, or those from a bunch of entitled iOS gamers who whine about how they could have bought 7 whole other iOS games for the cost of Ashbite? This sales model is pretty much identical to the first game, so why anyone is surprised is a mystery, and the fact that it worked at all is why there is a second game for you to complain about.
I have never played original Kingdom Rush but I love this! Heroes in a TD game are just so much fun. Only thing I don't like is that I can't see inapp heroes in action but still 5.5 out of 5 stars!
Finished the last level And getting all the stars as of yesterday. I used alric start to finish. A few of the freeze screen items from time to time. But never felt like I needed a more powerful hero, or the need To have more money, hearts, or The clear screen bomb. I felt like the game got immensely challenging after the first few levels. Then I switched tactics a bit ( using more archers of all things, and less barracks) and started having much more success. I'd say overall it's a step up in challenge over the first game (outside of recent additional content that I found way more intense than frontiers). Definitely 5 stars for me personally, and Can't wait for future updates!
After almost maxing nearly every hero, I can say that Sha'Tra is the best one out of them all (the dragon is hit or miss... I feel like it's not very easy to control and it won't stop enemies if you're in a tight spot). If you guys have questions on any of them, you can also ask me. All of his abilities are really really good: *The bouncing disc is generally pretty powerful and can hit multiple enemies. *Damage bonus is obviously a good one that pierces armor. *Abduction is freakin amazing... it'll just "insta-kill" an enemy up to 1000 hit points which is not bad. It advertises that it can abduct multiple enemies but this has only happened to me about 3 times out of like 20-30 abductions. I believe this is something that should be tweaked as it might have to do with the incredibly small abduction circle (enemies may need to overlap exactly in order to grab them both). *The drone is probably my favorite right next to the abduction. It does pretty massive targeted damage on enemies. At max it stays for 3 seconds of damage and HOPS from enemy to enemy. What this means is there's almost no wasted damage output as if it kills one enemy, it'll move on to the next. *The last skill is double edged but not bad. He'll give damage when he dies but obviously it's better not to let him die but in the case that he does, he'll throw some damage back. All in all, this is my favorite. It took me only two of the later levels to max him out which means he killed quite a bit! I love putting him on the front lines cuz that's where he shines best. Sadly, he's slow, which is odd cuz someone that's like a protoss should be fast? Also his quotes/voice are the best, he's so cool/scary. Especially his laughter when he dies.. it's like he's telling the enemies that he'll be coming back very soon
Due to this game I just had to return to the original Kingdom Rush and complete everything there first, so till now I will be playing kingdom rush and will resume frontiers after finishing completely the original. I must say that in frontiers you have more possibilities or different ways to win a mission, in the original one you really have to stick to certain strategies. Hope the sale of heroes will be soon, cant wait to buy new heroes and the current prices are too much for a digital hero in my opinion.
Just finished the Main campaign, Heroic and Iron-man in veteran mode. so much fun!!! Good work Ironhide dev. Waiting for the next update. Hopefuly coming asap.
When you click on a character in game, on the details to the right or armor, what does it mean? It is like something referring to seconds.
Does anyone know if the falcon upgrade stacks for the crossbow tower? Does it double range if I have two crossbow towers next to each other with both falcon maxed out or am I just wasting money?
Finished all levels on veteran. I like the wizard hero best. Decent damage and can teleport anywhere fast to help out. "A wizard is never late!"
Last five heroic challenge left for me, veteran mode. No power ups and iap heroes. Those last five are prolly the hardest.
Well the underpass isn't. Did it veteran, heroic, with Alric and had 10,000 gold left over at the end.
