The characters are not mandatory they just add to the fun, no different than a rare outfit or weapon. So far enjoying both games, and that's a years worth of game for the original. For KRF I recommend Captain Blackbeard cause he is a pirate, Shatar not much HP but he can destroy rare units fast with his abilities, Boneyard great over all but does does not engage units in melee, so can't use him to stop units. Found the gun totting silver bullet guy fun, he can go toe to toe. For KR: Oni and Bearclaw. Not sure but I think I may buy the others some of them have hilarious lines, the devs really put a love in this game. I play it on the iPad might have to get the normal version for iPhone.
i have completed all quest this game, guide here http://kingdomrushfrontiershack.com/kingdom-rush-frontiers-quests/
Kingdom rush Frontiers - the level up system of the heroes are better. Try the flash version of Kingdom rush http://armorgames.com/play/12141/kingdom-rush
I don't really like apps that are not universal, but for this one I made an exception and bought it. Really nice game!
Ipad. Game is most definitely not designed to br played on a small screen. On the other hand, probably the best if not the best TD on ipad.
Completely agree, the level system for the heroes is MUCH more satisfying in KRF. And I find the towers and level design superior as well.
IPad for sure, I have both versions but always play the IPad version. You can't pinch-to-zoom like you can in the IPhone version though.
It is perfectly possible to play either Kingdom Rush game to completion on a small screen as well as a large. If you prefer iPad size, that's fine, obviously, and you should probably buy that version - but it's still a great game on either format. Frontiers and the original are both good but yeah, someone who only wants to get one should probably pick up Frontiers. They're very similar games, but the new stuff in Frontiers - tweaks to the levelling and the new towers in particular - do kinda seal the deal, IMO.
This is really a great sale! I didn't know about this game and now I am totally addicted to it. I bought both KR and KRF and I have to say it's worth getting both of them. They are different and complimentary as I might say. You also get enough material to play for hours and hours. About the heroes, I bought the cheapest ones (0.99 each) and don't regret it at all. They add variety to the game and I like switching between them from one level to another. I am relunctant to buy the more expensive ones as I find it hard to justify a dlc to being more expensive than the game itself. I have to admit that I am tempted to buy all the other heroes from KR but 2.99 x 6 is a lot of money (I might have thought differently if you could micro-manage your heroes like in KRF). I am curious about King Denas though any thoughts about him? For KRF: the monster characters do not interest me, but I am really curious about the cowboy guy (dante) and the kung fu guy. Has anyone tried them?
