Just got this game about 3 days ago on iPad.... It's good and it's not at the same time not sure what to make of it but the heroes are interesting if a little too weak to be of any use. Also not many maps but the maps that are there are fairly decent. Haven't found many bugs. However again, having sales right after a purchase and a release on the iPhone that just came out makes you think twice about supporting them again.
Got the game last night. It's a really good game, good strategy, and looks and plays really nice on the iPad. Not sure if this game would be nearly as enjoyable on the tiny screen
Lots of 1 star reviews about how the last few levels are unbeatable unless you fork out cash for the iap heroes/upgrades. Is this really the case?
I don't have the ipad version but on the iphone version I finished all the levels and collected all the stars/achievements without any iap hero. If you can't finish a level few times, try different strategies.
that's nice.are some of the heroes obtainable without iap? Just to make sure, you completed the 3 new bonus levels too right?
Yup, collected all 75stars. there are 6 heroes, 3 are available for free and other 3 are optional. I'm probably going to purchase a wizard hero just for fun
Don't listen to those reviews. I have 74 stars on normal mode all it requires is a little tinkering with to figure out where the towers need to be placed. Heroes do help...but they aren't needed at all. I didn't try to use a hero till the very last level of the campaign, and on the bonus levels I only used the hero on a few of them just because I couldn't use some of the towers. For the heroes to be of any use in my mind is they need to have an ability or two that WE can control and that isn't automatic. Would make the game a bit more engaging and would make the hero more of an asset then just essentially another pawn like what the barracks produce. Also a paladin with every upgrade is significantly better then the hero paladin. They have more armor, do more damage, and can heal themselves..I mean come on, those guys are more of a hero then the actual "hero" lol. Only downside they have is they have something like 120 health where as the hero has 600 health at lvl 10. Still I think they should beef up the heroes more then they already are.
I've finished the last few levels. They were tough and I needed to tinker with my strategies numerous times. It's all about patience and fine tuning. Not once did I need IAPs. They're optional and not necessary to finish the game.
The bonus levels all just require very precise management of money/towers. Nothing on this game requires to use of any heroes.
I just bought this per all of you guys advice. I sure hope its better than jelly defense, gemkeeper, ibombers, sentinel 3 and others... I'm not quite sure why I bought this, but trying to buy 20 games this week, so I did it. Onward march!
Haha I know what you mean, I'm very impressed with how well this game has performed and how much content it has to offer. I'm dieing to know when the next update will come out...DX
I just picked this up yesterday and I love it. Cant believe how good it is. The devs did a Great job putting this one together.
