Just bought it. Lots of text at the start doe the story which I skipped through Did the first level. Controls aren’t bad. You can’t move them but they work well. It’s very quick like when you attack or jump look forward to the other levels as the trailer shows a lot of variation. Some of the criticisms on MC are a bit heavy-handed, but for $2, you get an action-packed game that is fun to play and worth more than the price of admission. One of the common criticisms repeated is that there isn't anything ground-breaking. Well, for $2 I'm looking for something as entertaining as it is challenging and this game delivers in spades. The level designs are clever and the gameplay has my rapt attention throughout. For the most part, the controls are above average despite not being able to adjust them, but it's not a deal-breaker. There have been times I've been killed because of my unfamiliarity with the controls, but I'm a fairly quick learner and was able to progress onward. Again, not a deal-breaker. Overall, this is an action-packed platformer that does not hand-hold as difficulty ramps up quickly. The level designs, power-ups, and well-hidden secret items make for an enjoyable game. (And if yes, are the controls less frustrating that way? The reviews on Metacritic for the Switch version seem to focus on the game being "too generic" didn’t see any complaints in regards to the controls though.) Already looked at the game’s App Store page but there‘s no mention in the description or a "Controller support" icon (not sure if this is only mandatory for Apple Arcade but if I‘m not mistaken lots of titles (outside of AA) don‘t have the icon/mention supporting controllers even if they do.) Thanks in advance for any info! I die once in a while from the controls (I wish I could move them more towards the edges of the screen) which is annoying but I finished the first 6 stages including the boss and am really enjoying it. It doesn’t do anything groundbreaking but it’s a neat action platformer with charm and nice graphics. For $2 I considered it a good buy. Even left a review on the AppStore which I don’t do nearly enough. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
