I finally beat the first island 21 days. The boat had to be moved to the other side where then I paid the 4 coins to move my knight over. Finally after the boat reached the end I paid 8 gold to move with my army to the next island. Really fun game glad I picked this up
Does anyone know why are the reviews on app store completely opposite of here? Before I sink my money on this.
Because people like to rate games low when their is a technical issue. The game works fine plus a lot of fun
I love the procedural weather effects. Makes it really immersive. Rainy days, bright clear nights, grey cloudy days, various levels of snow and snow accumulation on the ground, sometimes it's so foggy you can hardly see....just amazing. And I love how it gets darker when you enter the deep woods in the summer
I think that the winter is infinite, to try and force you to move to a new island, or provide a sort of "hard" survival mode if you want to stay on that island.
That is good to know, because I kept hoping for an early spring so my farmers could return to their fields, grow wheat, pay their taxes so I could finish that boat
*spoiler* in the beginning I'm tied to tap to recruit but I don't see a place to tap all I am doing is dropping coins and not sure if I'm actually creating a recruit. --- please advise!
You can only recruit "vagrants"-people who are wearing beggar's outfits and holding out their hands. They usually are found in camps. You can see if they become a recruit if they run to pick up your coin, and your coin will disappear and the vagrant's clothes will change to color to signify that he is one of your peasants now. There is no special place to put your coin when you recruit, just drop a coin by a beggar and he will pick it up. Hope this helps
You guys think that this is worth the money? Ideally I only want to buy one game, either KOTOR or this. Tough times!
I'll tell you soon. I've the boat already docked. And I made fully armored knights!!! Those monsters tough!!!! What a game!!!! EDIT: just did it, made to island 3 (which is already insane). Actually I BARELY did it....my castle was in ruin, winter was almost at its peak and almost all my army was decimated during a raid by some sort of GODZILLA during the red moon. But meanwhile I discovered a ton of new things I won't spoil. Simply epic.
Just beat it for the first time, been playing slowly and enjoying. Managed to get on the boat with a full crew and a full bag of gold just as the first snow started falling. My strategy was Spoiler figure out which side was the dock, start fortifying the other side, send out a raiding party on the dock side to clear out the portal. Now only dealing with attacks from one direction. Clear and build farms on the dock side and keep fortifying the other side. Keep recruiting every day, pay the merchant every day, and start investing gold with the banker, at least 10-20 per day. Then start building the boat. Make sure to keep the archer statue buffed up it's a huge help.
I started directly from the second one. Followed more or less the same strategy as KeKhan. Made it to island 3 with a whopping total of 2 gold pieces I won't spoil but....I LOVE the portal.
