I've played this for easily 10 hours thus far, and still enjoying it. That's $1 an hour or less. Justified to me. Conversely, I own both Xcom and FTL and haven't played them much or felt compelled too. Waste of money for me. Your opinion has been noted, so let's move on. Not all games are for everyone.
I personally don't like FTL I don't think it's worth the price. I really like XCOM. This game for me already has given me hrs, and, hrs of extremely satisfying gameplay It's a really fun experience and very addictive. The overall theme is the same but with varying strategies on different play thru's. It's also really pretty to look at and can be challenging and you're getting the exact same game as the original version for a discounted price. There's enough content here to get hrs and hrs of enjoyment out of it. I think it's worth it in my opinion
I love ftl And xcom Also loving this game Just completed the last island Took me like 5 tries, where minor mistakes in the start, bite me in the ass in endgame. But basicly if you find unicorn + baker early, then your good. Then you just need the balista guy around mid-game And archer + wall buff around endgame/red moon. Or you can rush clearing up the pier side and rush building the boat (hint: the boatwreck can show you the pier side early on, if you throw some money at it....). -then you can survive without needing the buffs
I think it's a super game, but when it reaches the second island it's a bit repetitive. Very entertaining and with diverse possibilities of strategies.
There's new gameplay elements and challenges starting after you beat the second island, the first island is kind of a tutorial. Well, even the second island is different in a few ways, but yeah - once you get to later islands there's more stuff.
Man, the later islands are crazy! I don't know how anyone can think it's boring. I'm constantly scrambling just to hold things together. Plus new gameplay elements and ways to make money. Also COOL MOUNTS! Still really enjoying this one, even with all the other great games released since - still coming back to this. Playing on Apple TV is also stellar
Question: is there a way to restart, and start again with the money I arrived with? I always reach new islands with a full purse, but dunno if I can restart with it if I make mistakes...
Another question: If I have a bajer or other character and the monster abduct it, can I recover or respawn it?
I cannot beat the third island. As soon as I destroy the large portal, three large monsters appear on that side and destroy my base. No matter how many archers I have, I cannot stop it.
I bought this for $9.99 as an impulse buy and yes it is worth $6.99. Glad I paid full price as it is with it at that price as well.
Every review in App Store says same thing and they regret buying. So I read the reviews on ign etc. They said what most said beautiful graphics and great for first couple of hours BUT No way of knowing how to play, can only move right to left and tap to throw coins at people. Lots of people complain that controls don't work properly sometimes , if you die pst level one you are screwed, player thinks a swipe is a throw and sometimes throws hours of coin grinding ruining their progress. No replayability after a few hour. So I took that all into consideration. I still watch videos and see the great screenshots and still want to buy but people left reviews of my exact dilemma and regret it. Then I thought what is $7 . Bought lol
You wont regret that ser... It's 7$ well spent i bought it full price and never regret it The graphic is a beaut For some no detailed tutorial is a minus for some But for me the joy of discovering something is really satisfying, Dont forget to leave a review on appstore page to support the dev
Personally I find that $7 isn't that much money and most of so called 5 stars games are boring for me after a few hours. Recent iOS games are mediocre in my opinion in their vast majority with a few exceptions. Kingdom can get repetitive but is still worth the few hours of fun I had in my opinion.
