Just have the sceptre equipped. As I understand it, each and every hit with a given weapon has a chance to add the painting drop at the end, doesn't need to be the last hit.

For some of the paintings it took a few hundred battles for me! King one I was lucky, dropped after about 20-30

Guys where do I get the Mele Weapon or robot ++ hit rates? I only got the single + hit rate that I bought from the shop.

Also when using the diamond weapons, have you noticed that when you succeed in spawning a character, sometimes it doesn't hit despite it going in a space with another enemy on the other side. Is this a bug?

    Thanks.

Hit++ items are a rare drop from Wooden Fun 5

Not seen spawned characters not hit the enemy, though presumably it depends on the processing order..

The order of activation based on rows is:

    1) The middle row
    2) The top row
    3) The bottom row

So let's say you have enemies in all 3 rows, but only the middle row has zombie. Now the zombie attacks with a diamond weapon that creates a zombie in the top row. Now the top row is next to activate so the zombie (newly created) attacks. Let's say there was a diamond weapon in the top row as well and now a new zombie is created in the bottom row. Since the bottom row is next to activate, that second newly create zombie will ALSO attack.

Now, in a new example, let's say that the zombie and diamond weapon are in the bottom row. They attack and create a new zombie in the top row. However, since the middle and top row already activated (and there was no response since no zombies or items were there), even though the zombie was created in the top row, it will not attack.

This is basically what I've noticed, especially playing a lot with the necromancer.

I have a couple questions; sorry if these have been covered before.

1.So once I get the appropriate painting, I should equip it and battle the corresponding lover? If I defeat him/her, I get a badass diamond weapon? I ask because I actually got a robot diamond weapon by beating one of the bosses and wondered if the lover painting weapon will be different.

2.Once I get the king painting, then the Wooden Secret levels will be available?

3.If my luck is at 9, is there any benefit to having a weapon equipped that adds a level to luck? In other words, does luck go beyond level 9?

Thanks in advance for any info.

    1. The Cyborgette does have weapons that are "Diamond", but the Diamond weapon's that you get from the Lovers are unique and have a PURPLE background. For reference, the Cyborgette's Lover weapon is
    Diamond Robot Head.

    2. Yes, once you get the King Painting and have it equipped, the Wooden Fun level is visible on page 7 of Volume 4.

    3. You can not increase any stat (Luck, Cherries, or party member) above level 9. So equipping a weapon that adds a level to Luck while you are already at Luck level 9 is a waste. Similarly, equipping a weapon that adds +2 levels to a party member while they're level 8 is partially wasteful as well.

Buy it now - I buy a LOT of games, and this has been one of, if not THE best value for money for keeping me entertained.

    Highly, highly recommended.

Thanks everyone for the spoiler and tips. Have one simple question though..

Currently with 29 golds (except the last boss) and all the paintings except King's painting, to achieve wooden farm, i should focus on getting King's painting (using Scepter weapon and King character ?? ) first ?

Do i need to achieve the last gold before King's painting will drop?

Thanks in advance for the reply

You don't need all golds for the paintings to drop - I focused on getting paintings and diamond weapons first, and used those to get the Golds!

Also you just need to use the sceptre, weapon hits of a specific type are what causes paintings to drop

First of all i would like to thank the developer for the great game? The visuals are great.
. I doubted a long time before purchasing, but it is worth every penny. I read through all pages of this topic and there were a lot of usefull tips which I use immediatly. Finally a game without IAPpurchases. I have 3 questions?
    1. Where do you guys get the scepter? Nevermind! I found it, can be found beneath the cursed kitten, what is the power of the scepter?
    2. What is the best method for getting a lvl 10 weapon.
    3. The reply above doesn't show what weapon to use with the scepter for the kings painting, who can help me with that?

    Thanks for the reply.

Gonna rate the game 5 stars in the dutch appstore now.

To get the King's painting, you just need to equip the sceptre and attack enemies in Chapter 4 with it. Each time you hit with a given weapon type, that enemy has a chance to drop the painting.

Once you have the King's painting, you'll find Secret Wooden fun in chapter 4, best place to go farming..

Thanks for the quick response. Other question. To get the diamond weapon, do i need to attack only wth the resistance weapon or can i combine weapons? I won the diamond shotgun using only guns.

To get diamond you only need to have the Painting and the related Fighter equipped, everything else is interchangeable!

The farming really changes once you get one of the "%chance for chest on hit" items. I had over 100 victories over Wooden Fun 5 without picking up anything of note (and roughly a 33% victory rate) when I got the Superior Spiked Chain (43/5/10% chance of chest on hit) and then the bonus chests really started adding up. 200 Wooden Fun 5 fights later and I'm done farming.

Stick with it, all it takes is one lucky drop!

You can have 3x Scepters, it is a bronze weapon, not a unique one. Interestingly enough, it is the only bronze weapon that does not have an adjective prefix (personally I think that it should be silver), it is also the only non-unique weapon that only has 1 level of quality.

Equipping 3x Scepters will make it almost impossible to kill even the first enemy in Volume 4. You will need very very high level party members and you will need to be very very good at aiming for maximum damage. Also a level 9 in Cherries wouldn't hurt either, even then, you would probably only be winning a third of the time at most. But honestly I feel that it would be much much faster to just farm with 1 Scepter and 2 high level weapons as you would be able to defeat the enemy in only a couple turns and then try again.

By the way, a painting will always be in the final chest that an enemy drops, and the chest will always be gold. Therefore, it is NOT advised to use any weapons with a chance to drop chests or any bonuses that add chests to the reels, as it will only make opening chests after the battle take much longer and you only care about the last chest.

All enemies in Volume 4 have a chest drop of "?" This means that any enemy in Volume 4 can do one of three things after you win A) Drop nothing, B) Drop a black chest with normal loot, C) Drop a gold chest containing a painting. This is why it is fastest to NOT drop extra chests, the extra chests will NEVER contain a painting. Boss loot tables are slightly different, and usually every boss drops 1 guaranteed chest, but I wouldn't recommend farming bosses for paintings.

Your best bet for the King painting is to just keep farming the first enemy of Volume 4 (Because he has the lowest HP) and just focus on killing him as quickly as possible while having the Scepter equipped, he is also weak to animals, so use your 2 strongest animals against him as well. It might take over 100 fights, but he WILL eventually drop the King Painting.

My recommendations for farming the other paintings are as follows:

NOTE: All references to page numbers are in Volume 4, as only those enemies will drop paintings.

Tamer: Equip 3x Animals (use applecat if you have it) and farm the first fight on page 1 "You Looking At Me?" (Weakness - Animals)
Gunner: Equip 3x Guns and farm the first fight on page 2 "Meet The Punk" (Weakness - Guns)
Fighter: Equip 3x Fighter weapons (use the Atma Weapon if you have it) and farm the first fight on page 3 "What Crown?" (Weakness - Fighter Weapons)
Necromancer: Equip 3x Humans (preferably ones that have a chance to add a copy of themselves to the reel) and farm the first fight on page 4 "I, Zakuzi" (Weakness - Humans)
Cyborgette: Equip 3x Robots and farm the first fight on page 5 "I'm Too Young To Die!" (Weakness - Robots)
Alchemist: Equip 3x your strongest Burn Potions and farm the first fight on page 6 "Don't Go In There!" (Weakness - Potions)

The reasoning behind this is that since your weapons will be doing DOUBLE damage to these enemies then they effectively have HALF their normal HP, and since none of these enemies have over 1200 HP, they will all die faster than the first enemy of Volume 4 who has 600 HP. But since NO enemies are weak to the Scepter, just farm the enemy with the lowest HP.

Good luck getting the paintings :D

For the alchemist, I recommend throwing in a Bait potion since that will GREATLY increase your chances of hitting the enemy, even if your damage is reduced a little. In my experience, the few times that you may miss the enemy with the other potion will outweight the advantage of an additional potion.

Also, keep in mind that with a level 9 alchemist, poison potions will deal triple poison damage, so they are also quite effective.
