From the video it might play like the Batman games on console? Hopefully it feels fluid. I think I'll have to give it a go myself. Too bad I wish he had a different outfit, probably full armor and everything. Looks pretty ridiculous defeating fully armored knights like that :S ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #3 ramzarules, Apr 4, 2017 Last edited: Apr 4, 2017 i'm hyped about the movie. I saw the game this morning appear and i was like it could be good - then i watch the gameplay in the video above and it's 10 minutes of a guy punching other guys with the same moves and same equipment.. and now i dont know if i will even bother EDIT- another gameplay video 20 minutes long- the guy got the excalibur but he has it on his back while punching still. I guess they throw a ton of money at these games but don't have time to develop much gameplay. Even so, there's a good 20 minutes of entertainment here. Excellent graphics as we would expect, and a fair variety of moves to learn; or just swipe and tap at random. It pays to take out the archers early as it is difficult to time the arrow avoidance move. Some cool slo-mo when using Excalibur, which requires sufficient power accumulated during combat. I mean a new batman game, but they would have to refine the system. Maybe adding a emu portraits to target them and lock on them. A LOT MORE PLATFORMING, and stealth. But this game is great for what it is. boydstr Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2016 155 11 18 Male Gamer Netherlands #6 boydstr, Apr 5, 2017 The Batman fighting mechanics are so great when I was playing the game and was fighting baddies it gives me a sort of hypnotic flow from switching from one attacker to another to keep that combo meter as high as possible I never experience that in any other action adventure.# adamphetamine Well-Known Member Jan 4, 2011 968 31 28 Programmer/3D Modeling Bethlehem, Pa #7 adamphetamine, Apr 6, 2017 The movie trailer is so good and in definite looking fuses to the movie now. On to the game....I didn't set my hopes high but as it turns out the game is pretty damn good from the bit I played so far. Here's hoping it continues to stay that way. Thank you! anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #9 anthony78, Apr 6, 2017 So no IAPs or anything but only 20 minutes of gameplay? Trying to decide whether it's worth deleting things to play it. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #10 Stronsay, Apr 6, 2017 Yes, good things come in small packages. I've been back for a replay since. saansilt ð® Spam Police ð Mar 23, 2013 3,291 0 36 #11 saansilt, Apr 7, 2017 This is really good. I feel like I'm robbing the devs with the fun I'm having. I hope these devs make more stuff, I'd love to see what they'd do with this engine for a standalone game. The graphics and movement/animation are good, but the controls are kind of a mess imo. The enemies bunch up too much making it difficult to focus on one, and the parry doesn't work half the time. And King Arthur making martial arts kicks? Really? currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #13 currymutton, Apr 7, 2017 No IAP? Great. No ad? (except the movie trailer), seems good. Just pass the training, seems to be fludi on my Mini 2 Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #14 Stronsay, Apr 7, 2017 Quite so. Medieval myth for 21st Century audiences; and from the same director who gave 'bullet-time' to Sherlock Holmes. Such is progress. Agreed, many of the moves are hit and miss. I imagine combat is like that, especially the parry. I just try and get Arthur out of the way of the charging opponents and flying arrows. I'm going through story mode again, having now got the more advanced techniques, including an overhead elbow strike! Great for breaking through defence when it works.
