Very well written review SV. I'm not just saying that because I agree with it, you did a good job explaining the specials, controls, character customization, and all that other good stuff
=o) Thanks guys! Now really... if anyone is still checking out this thread and hasn't got the game yet... get it. The more I play, the more I'm completely blown away by it. This is one of the few games that has a locked position on my GOTY list for 2013. Love it. =oD
Like I mentionned in PM, your review is one of the most professional ones I've seen in a long, long time. It's very well written, thoroughly explained. Big thank you for your time ! And thanks to Golden_Gate's twitter, your article has been retweeted by David Helgason himself (Unity CEO) /beers_for_everyone ! While you're drinking beers, I'll be working on that Training mode, though, teehee. ^^
Fantastic! Indeed syntheticvoid's review is superb, and absolutely spot on! Great to see the popped-collared-one retweeting about this game as well - that's brilliant and will hopefully lead to higher exposure for KD.
Request: can I quote it and post it on Twitter? (my account is muttoncurrypot) Status: I am not waiting for the iCade update, downloading the full thing as I type.
Am I the only one who thinks that the icon isn't on par with the game? I don't know... Too much gloss, both in the app icon and in the AppStore icon. Most devs enable UIPrerenderedIcon since AppIconOverlay often destroys icons. I also think that the icon should be clearer. Maybe without the Kinetic Damage title in it and a bit of zoom and less bloom. After all, the icon is the first thing customers see in the AppStore.
@Saan : thanks btw what Jeet Kun Do specials did you chose to get lately ? Ah, you're right, great suggestions Can we change it once game is released, though ?
How about this? The gloss effect still gets in the way. I tried editing the .plist setting the UIPrerenderedIcon to true without any results. Maybe without bloom and a bit sharper it would look better.
