    You sir are one amazing developer.

    May this game launch you to where you can afford a huge team with large budgets. I would love to see you make a game like this on the next gen consoles. Keep up the good work - I look forward to the icade support.

    I hear where you are coming from. And thats why indie devs and gamers who actually enjoy the game or indie devs who enjoyed follwing Benjamin's journey need to help promote the game.

    I really like this forum because people hear have been very supportive with reviews and purchases... but we can't stop ... we have to keep on pushing...

    I'm at Apple WWDC and best be sure while inline for a session I turn on my volume to my Ipod Touch 5th gen to max so people can hear the game and buck's awesome tunes.

    Whatever it takes to spread the word..

    I beat two legendaries in row.
    I felt acomplished, something an iOS game didn't do for me for a long time.

    I don't know why Ben didn't choose karate. May be because he wanted to have in KD only very impressive martial arts.

    Thanks Poppi :) Maybe it will come along with time, with more and more gamers playing it around. Let's hope so ! Because the more the game is purchased, the more revenues I will be able to redirect in making Kinetic Damage bigger and bigger. Better model graphics being on my top list.

    If you want to play technical and get insane speed, I'd suggest Velocity. Blade Kick on the other hand would give you a nice gap closer, and a good combo opener, as it stuns the enemy enough to land an additional LP. Its damage and juggle are higher the longer distance you come from, too.
    Fists of Fury would be a great damage maker and pressure tool (charged move, so playing the charge / release pressure game).

    Especially Krav's one :) it doesn't deal a lot of damage, but stuns for a long time, enough to chain a few bone breaking combos. In the next update I will add +30% crit / Perfect strike chance to all Grabs, so they feel like more than a visually glorified strike. It's safe to make it a bonus for Krav's chainlocks combos too, as the Art's range is not really good, and "ok" speed. It will add more sense to real Krav Maga's spirit, aka "if you enter my close quarter zone, you're just screwed up."

    Another very powerful Krav special is "Bait". As soon as you launch a strike, if you press Bait before the hit time, you cancel your strike instantly. I created this special to give another pressure tool, baiting for your opponent to lose control and give you a free counter.

    A good situation would be :
    stand FK -> opponent starts to launch a quicker strike to intercept -> Bait ! -> Pivot (Krav's countering special move) -> strike.

    I intentionally put a high Energy cost to both specials, so they're not insanely open to another combo. But to give an example of the kind of stuff I want to add if game grows bigger : there could be a Krav specialization skill that would give you +20 energy if you chain Bait + Pivot .... :)
    Just an idea among a lot of others.

    Good question :) Actually, I didn't select all 8 martial Arts for their impressiveness factor, but for their uniqueness in term of game mechanics translation. Karate would have felt too much like a mix between Taekwondo and Jeet Kun Do. Straight Fists, Kicks, all while coordinating power. TKD is already working like that with its specials.

    Another example : at first Krav Maga was supposed to be Pencak Silat, a fierce Malaysian Art. It's a very impressive Art by itself, but it was not standing apart well enough in term of "state of mind" from the other already made Arts. Krav Maga on the other hand was opening to a truckload of close quarter mechanics, making it the "grappler" sport of Kinetic Damage.

    Kinetic Damage is not based around the "Beat the crap out of each other to death in a TV show" philosophy that we're so used to. It's based around Martial Arts as a sport, as a tense competition.
    That's why button mashing can feel either frustrating, either plainly boring. And that was totally my intent to make it feel like that. KD is based around mechanics. Chaining actions, assembling a string of game mechanics together to win a fight. Mindgames around a string of potential decisions. etc.. All while making it look seamless on screen.
