I'm not a huge fan of custom messages as you then need to ban/mute rude people, but we were at some point considering implementing a messaging system similar to the one in Hearthstone. It would've added too much technical and localisation work, and we wanted to ship the game in 2015 so we postponed it to "maybe one day". It would be cool to be able to send short messages when you think you've tricked your opponent with a smart move, or you realise you've made a mistake! Maybe one day we'll get to implementing this, who knows
I totally get that! I was actually thinking about that as I was posting about it. It might be ok for Game Center friends, at least ones you know a little bit, ie from these forums. But maybe some stock phrases would work too. On a side note, I'm gonna have to start practicing so that I can actually win a game one day.
Thanks for reporting this! We're currently working on our second update and will look into it before we submit it to Apple.
Yeah, the game is too much fun, all I can think of is a cut-off Ha Ha Ha. Well if I keep playing against Mr.Bez, I will be at the bottom of the Leaderboard.
I've been thinking about this. 96 hours is still a long time, especially if someone decides to only play one move every 3 days for example. One of the games I'm playing is against someone near the top of the leaderboard (Szei) but he stopped playing when I got the upper hand. I know he's still playing other games as I've seen his ranking improve. I'd love to see a feature which lets you have as many active games as you want, but you can only start a new game if you have less than three active games where it's your turn and you haven't played it. That's not a criticism of Kindo, by the way. In general, I've encountered relatively few players in Kindo who do this. This should be implemented in as many games as possible, or even baked into Game Center for turn-based games!
I'm at the bottom of the Leaderboard, because i played against him. But this game is too good to quit.
Time out after 96 Hours: Is there a penalty points system? for players who stopped (or quitted) playing
They will lose their ELO points just as if they lost the game properly. We didn't implement any punitive measure as it can be hard to know if someone is trying to climb the leaderboard by avoiding to finish lost games, or just away from home for a long weekend or anything.
I think Some people have an algorythem running on the background on their computer too check their next move, Ha Ha.
Epic game vs ROGER-NL! http://replay.kindogame.fr/#20150514220462408r You actually had this in your pocket. My early attack was in fact a loosing move. I had no way out, but kept my fingers crossed that you would not see it. Thankfully for me, you didn't. Now my brain is drained for today. I might have said it before, but I like this game! Pedroapan
Did not see that move you mentioned, too bad. Think you need to play this game for months to get better.
Just wanted to pop in and say the recent update fixed my crashing issues, and I'm back enjoying this awesome game!
Awesome news Thanks to all of you here and others who reached out to us on Twitter or by email, we've been able to track down most of the remaining issues. We're finishing a second update that's a major overhaul of our Game Center implementation. It should be submitted any day now! I'll keep you posted. Then we'll get to work on some UI improvements!
Hello! The new update is now live on the App Store. It includes a lot of fixes related to Game Center issues. And it also allows you to forfeit games created before today (June 6) so that you can clean those annoying stalled games! From now on stalled games will forfeit after 4 days. If you still see GC issues, please let us know!
It will impact your ELO, starting with games created after June 6. So you're safe forfeiting old stalled games that didn't auto forfeit when your opponent stopped playing!
