Times like this, I wish iTunes didn't take 3 minutes to start.

Just did a fresh reboot and didn't have it open for once. ^ ^

Now if only I could get my mouse's left click to work again..

I agree. It's quite unfair. For those that have either slow internet, or slower computer, it's harder for us to reach the promo codes or turn on iTunes. While those with amazing computer can open everything in a matter of seconds. It's not fair.

Well.. in their defence, they probably did something that you didn't to make their computers faster.
    Ex. Upgrade ROM

    RAM. ^ ^

Very well may be the problem for some, but not always. In my case I run 3 servers off my laptop, so iTunes and other non-essential applications can take a little longer than normal, even with 2GB or more of RAM and a solid processor.

I'm not saying it's unfair, right now I'm just in a bad mood my left mouse click is no longer functional.

.... You must know nothing about computer then. So you're saying I should spend some couple tens or close to hundred or more dollars, to get faster RAM just so that I could get promo codes? Wow...

Developers are free to give out (or not give out) codes as they see fit.
It's nice when they do, but if people are going to whine about the way they choose to dispense the codes, I think devs are going to be less likely to give them out at all!

For the most part, it's the luck of the draw, so stop whining about your slow computers, bad connections, and bad timing. Just be thankful when you are lucky enough to get a code! :)

I'm sorry for being entitled to my opinion. It's not whining. It just stating facts.

The whiners here should consider themselves lucky that they can even redeem a promo code at all — any non-US residents can't use promo codes, even if we have one...  :(

    Lol

Yeah upgrade your ROM, people! Nice one! Maybe you should upgrade your computer terminology with a new computer book.

    Seriously?

Forgive me if I am wrong guys, but dev's post these codes so we will grab them and give feedback so others might take our words for it and actually purchase the app.

I don't think they post these codes so we can argue about who gets to use the code.

It's not worth their time to post the codes and lose the revenue off their app if no one is gonna talk about the actual app.

Grow up... or the dev's are gonna take their codes and go home.

So to actually provide a review:

The $.99 got me to buy the App. I've had Virtual Pool for a while now, but hardly ever play it. The graphics were great, but the controls just didn't work for me.
This game has practically nailed it. Pinch to zoom, drag to rotate. The cue stick has it's own, visible area to swipe across for shooting. The fine tune bar is really appreciated. I'm actually thinking my 3 year old will be able to play this with me.

It also has several game modes past the regular 8/9 ball.
There's been a lite version out for a while if you're still not sure it deserves your buck.
